No, you haven't listened, and it shows in every word. Your posts had no sympathy or empathy to start with, but no they're just gloating and hostile.

Snappity · 12/07/2018 06:08

And for the record, and because you seem to be able to tell an absolute lie with impunity on here, while calling women 'bitches'

Lasagne has to be understood in context. Silvia Rivera wasn't from a posh background. To expect her to have used refined language is a very classist attitude from you. And to suggest her voice should be silenced and not quoted is even more classist.

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:09

And there you go again giving the game away

Snappity · 12/07/2018 06:11

And why do you not say that to all the posters who deny that trans women are women, even those with female birth certificates, and all those who avoid using female pronouns? That's hostile and lacking in empathy but you don't call that out do you? Why?

Snappity · 12/07/2018 06:12

Lasagne s/b language

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:13

Sex is based in reproductive role, binary and immutable. Lurking TRA, you have your screenshot to send off to MNHQ - no doubt you'll leave out the post calling us 'bitches'.

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:16

I'm sure there are little thrills of excitement at getting a feminist to post something to complain about. Maybe that was the point of using the word bitches. I can think of no other reason for coming on to a feminist board and using the word 'bitches'. We see you, and if I'm banned, two more people will take my place.

I was brought up in a farming community where every second word was a swear word. And you don't complain about the horrible and transphobic materials quoted and linked daily on MumsNet. Why is that?

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:27

Pratchet
Sex is based in reproductive role, binary and immutable

Snappity
I won't report it but it is transphobic

You won't report the truth for being transphobic? Mkay.

Intersex people have asked transactivists to stop appropriating their medical conditions. Please do so. Reproductive role is not the same as reproductive ability. Pointing out that sex is based on reproductive role is not making any judgement about infertile people.

Snappity · 12/07/2018 06:30

*Intersex people have asked transactivists to stop appropriating their medical conditions. Please do so. "

I am intersex. Why are you trying to silence me?

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:32

You think it's acceptable to come in a feminist board and use the word 'bitches' because you were brought up in a farm? I don't even know any men in RL who would say or write the word 'bitches' about women (including a farming family). And, being farmers, they would be dumbfounded that people actually believe that sex is not based on reproductive role.

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:33

I am a woman. Why are you using the word 'bitches' in a post towards me and my sisters?

pachyderm · 12/07/2018 06:38

Indeed Pratchet.

Some bulls ARE cows.
Some roosters ARE chickens.
Some rams ARE ewes.

My farm is doing splendidly Grin

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 12/07/2018 06:39

Anyway, back to the thread Wink

Are we absolutely certain that the people doing the projections are TRAs? My first thought was that it was a reaction to the pride protests, but that they were highlighting the way TRAs police language and try and change language?

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:40

Grin bananas

Ereshkigal · 12/07/2018 06:42

Did anybody notice (and I admit to skipping the last two thirds of this thread to post, I will go back) that the, 'transmen are men' sign seems to be less... Idk neat and tidy? Like somebody thought 'fuck, quick, we forgot the transblokes and it makes us look bad!'

Yes.

Pratchet · 12/07/2018 06:43

Thanks jacky

Pink News says this
The Illuminator is an activist group known for projecting messages onto public buildings
and they've previously done Trump etc

JackyHolyoake · 12/07/2018 06:50

"Snappity* "I have listened but like the majority of people don't agree with you."

Please can you explain to all of us then how a human can change sex, with specific reference to how a male can become female? Thank you.

Mogleflop · 12/07/2018 06:50

The thing is that we have to say "transwomen aren't women" snappily because if we don't we've lost the battle against self-ID already, and the attempt to keep the two distinct and women's rights separate. Don't you see that? There's no "ah ha!" moment here. There's no sneakiness going on.

We've been really clear that the moment you say "transwomen are women", women lose every logical right they have in the law and society.

We wouldn't have ever had to go beyond social kindness if some arseholes hadn't forced themselves into things which were meant to help women, not men.

SophoclesTheFox · 12/07/2018 06:56

I am intersex.

Well, that's a bit of a drip feed. Are you really, snappity?

I am also curious about why you think it's an act of heroism when two drag queens interrupt a feminist and call her a bitch because they want to protest, but you think it's an act of shameful bigotry when lesbians have the temerity to state that they are female homosexuals at Pride? Do you believe in the right to peacefully protest or not?

Lasagne has to be understood in context : it tickles me that this is probably one of the more coherent ideas you've brought to this board.

Snappity · 12/07/2018 07:02

I didn't say it was heroism but it is a clear statement from two of the central figures in the Stonewall Riot that it would not have happened without the trans people and our rights as lesbians, gays and bisexual people today might be much, much less without the efforts of trans people. It also shows how long some feminists have been trying to shut down trans rights and how two instigators of the Pride / LGBTI movement felt about that.

MissSusanSays · 12/07/2018 07:03

Transwomen are a transwomen. I don’t see why they can’t be proud of that and own it instead of trying to erase women and women’s rights.

There’s only one set of bullies here and it is activists.

Being trans must be hard but having a difficult time does not give you the right to fuck over other groups of people.

Women’s rights are human rights.

I think there's been fishing for screenshots this morning. I'm going to nero's to await my deletion and banning with my FREE coffee. I always make sure the tenth coffee is a large with a double shot.
