I have been wondering for a while now how law enforcement would respond when they find out the Mermaid training they got was in violation of law.

misscockerspaniel · 26/06/2018 20:18

I think legal action will be taken against these males wearing women's clothes because (according to the Sun and the Mail Online) two police officers were assaulted as they tried to arrest the violent thugs.

loveyouradvice · 26/06/2018 20:18

I have posted in AIBU (currently trending) and in Chat... I am reeling from the shock and still shaking....

If any of you want to add comments there - or informed links - I think it would be helpful for people to hear from the wise women on here

AsAProfessionalFekko · 26/06/2018 20:21

I hope they are brought to court and that the media reports the story, warts and all. They are thugs.

I'm sure the 'our beautiful, brave girls' brigade will be supporting them throughout.

homefromthehills · 26/06/2018 20:22

Thebewilderness - I have done no such thing. I have outright condemned it and tried to explain ways the police could and should be using to identify and state the true sex of the culprits.

As this should not be recorded as a female crime.

How do you see anything else in what I have said?

homefromthehills · 26/06/2018 20:28

The reason I pointed out about the GRC is because it is very unlikely these 4 have one and so they have no protection from being forced to reveal their true gender or not to be charged under that legally.

And I even pointed out how even if they did have a GRC their birth certificate is linked to the original one and police are allowed to ask about that through the office where that link is maintained.

So I set out exactly how police could and should identify the sex of these thugs.

How is that gaslighting?

IfyouseeRitaMoreno · 26/06/2018 20:30

Just had a look at the LBC Facebook page. The fact that these “women” have been released pending investigation has led lots of men to comment on the terrible gender bias against men in the justice system!

Then there’s all the “under reporting of female on male violence”.

It’s a joy to see the idiots corrected but in their dinosaur brains they’ll still go off gleefully thinking “ooh look. Women do it too!”

thebewilderness · 26/06/2018 20:32

Do you know what the "No true Scotsman" logical fallacy is, homefromthehills, because you are doing it.
Go ahead and address the parts of the story that matter to you.

seafret · 26/06/2018 20:34

Bloody hell. Men should mean males. Women should mean females. Descriptions should be factual.

They may be transwomen, they may be man in drag, who the hell knows.. whatever they 'identify' as, THEY ARE NOT WOMEN

'IDEVAW 2017: Naming & recording male violence against women & girls'
(Extract)

"The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) also reports that ‘data collected may not record the sex of the victim and perpetrator, nor the relationship between them’ and that this hampers efforts to identify certain types of violence (such as intimate partner violence) and make comparisons across Europe. This is echoed in an article in the Guardian for IDEVAW where the CEO of a UK women’s charity highlights that discussion of “violence against women and girls” (rather than naming it as specifically male violence) shifts the blame away from the men who are responsible for the vast majority of domestic and sexual violence against women and girls globally."

But that isn't what the police do. They go along with self id gender instead.

This highlights the mess we get into when the police and press won't state factually correct information. In this case the police were looking for a missing women. www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk/news/missing-woman-dressed-as-man-seen-in-dronfield-1-7873949

homefromthehills · 26/06/2018 20:40

Still not understansding, sorry.

This thread is about why these four people are not women and should not be identified as women by the police as that creates misleading crime statistics.

I completely agree with that.

Posts have argued why police are not bothered about asking or are too scared to ask.

So I suggested ways I could see from my understanding as to how they could and should be able to reveal their male identity so as not to create that false record.

And I made clear that whatever their origin - even if they had a GRC - they were still thugs and still could and should be exposed and suggested how to get around even having a GRC.

I genuinely have no idea why these posts are not perceived as helpful, which was their intention.

Thanks for the link... I was just looking for that article!

I don't, either. I don't understand why the criticism of you

Baroquehavoc · 26/06/2018 20:47

If these people id as trans, than the perpetrators should be recorded as transpeople. Why should crimes committed by transpeople be hidden in womens or mens crimes?

Every time I read that article I have to create a mental map of the words so I can figure out what the hell they are talking about.

I have seen many female fights in bars, clubs etc between drunk women. They just don't fight like this. This is pure, unbridled aggression and that guy in white would have killed the man on the floor if nobody had intervened. He was stamping on his head. I don't think any woman would be physically capable of fighting with that level of ferocity.

No, this must must be reported as being a crime perpetrated by transgender people. Can they not run an article on the fact that many commentators have suggested these are not natal women and force the police to either confirm or deny that statement?

Alexa488 · 26/06/2018 21:02

I have been assaulted by being kicked in the face after being thrown to the ground. About 6 or 7 kicks. The perpetrator was found guilty of ABH, but absconded before sentencing. I was rescued by her boyfriend, bleeding with a broken nose and damaged eye socket.

Female violence of this kind is extremely rare I know, but I was a victim of it. I forgave her because she had previously told me about her childhood.

I also believe the perpetrators in this case were male bodied.

PeakPants · 26/06/2018 21:05

Oh, I definitely think women are capable of kicking someone in the head and stamping on someone's head. I just think it's the way these people's bodies move- there is so much force there that I am not sure a woman could muster even if she was kicking someone in the head.

Flowers though- that sounds like a horrible attack.

IfyouseeRitaMoreno · 26/06/2018 21:12

It’s not that women are incapable of violence. Not at all.

It’s that women are being blamed for what is male violence. Not only in the reporting by the police and media but by MRAs who are falling over themselves to denigrate women and to deflect the real menace in our society: the prevalence of male violence.

Alexa488 · 26/06/2018 21:28

It was very forceful I assure you. It's to do with motivation not ability, and women's strength is less than men;s of course but considerable as she was fit and tall and angry.. I feared for my life before I was rescued. It was only the skilful way I protected myself that it wasn't worse, but I knew it was a standoff...until I was rescued.
