Posters jumping before they're pushed

Well MNHQ we have the start of the exodus. Posters leaving due to these new guidelines that throw women under the bus.

A poster has deleted their account today due to the upset and stress of getting a strike for saying something that is 100% true. We know it's true because TRA's posted it on Twitter themselves, yet we post it and it's kick off time at HQ

It's a fucking disgrace HQ WOMEN are your target audience yet you don't give a fucking shiny shit about us. Not a fucking shit and it stinks.

More and more women will leave and you will be left with nothing more than people who present as opposite to their birth sex sitting posting about heels, make-up, clothes and fucking knitting.

Good luck with that one.

I've been reading here for a couple of years. I come from a background with a lot of abuse, a lot of fear and have been using evasive tactics since I was a child as a result. I tend to shut down and not speak, or delete my own posts.

The bullying going on here is shocking.

Is the site for sale? What value will a women's site have without feminism when even stuffy anti- feminist women love their 100 years of suffrage, and their own credit cards.

Or is it those M16 employees - are they the kind of children brought up in dark rooms with high end gaming consoles, carried between real world venues in paladins, who are now young adults desperate to be useful and feeling all altruistic and self righteous.

This place was a refuge for women, somewhere people could talk or listen, but it is becoming a malign zone. I am trying to continue supplying all my usual clicks for the company but it's causing me a lot of tension now. Surrounded by bullies nothing good, and nothing intellectual can ever grow.

spontaneousgiventime · 25/06/2018 13:23

Anyone who wants details to the other place can DM me. I've said this repeatedly. I'm too fucked to chase round looking for people who want the details. Sorry.

Yipyap I agree about the bullying, I glance at threads and think uh oh. nasty stuff going on here so walk away. Just seen a post directed at me where the poster totally misread my post and went off on a rant. That happens a lot these days.

Another one who feels the need to lecture whilst completely missing the point.

Baroquehavoc · 25/06/2018 13:32

It seems likely that the Government's consultation on proposed changes to GRA will begin shortly. Time and energies are important resources.

That's a coincidence.

Just as more media are using MN as a source to highlight the damaging effects of self id on women and girls, it looks as if discussion has to be moved onto a private board.

I've notice all of the transpeople who wanted to understand women's point of view and work to together have all but disappeared.

FWR has quickly shifted from a board where women talk about their experiences and feelings to one where we are expected to justify the needs for feminism.

I know it's possible to just ignore derailers, but it's so difficult. And sometimes lies need to be challenged. If MN are so keen to welcome gf to encourage debate, I think they should open a debate board.

Do you think it would be a good time to ask for an ignore poster function again¿

spontaneousgiventime · 25/06/2018 13:33

Yeah, the lectures coming thick and fast. Just as easy to read them and snort. They aint worth my time.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 25/06/2018 13:33

I can't even be arsed anymore. We have explained time and time again the issues we have so maybe you SHOULD read full threads instead of accusing the people BEING victimized of victimization.

spontaneousgiventime · 25/06/2018 13:34

Do you think it would be a good time to ask for an ignore poster function again

YES!!

Baroquehavoc · 25/06/2018 13:38

spontaneousgiventime, I should have add a wink or something. That goes down worse than trying to get anybody to define 'woman'.

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 25/06/2018 13:39

An ignore poster button would be blissful! No more risible crap about feelz.

Southfields · 25/06/2018 13:41

I've been given the joining instructions for the secret replacement forum.

But I love Mumsnet, the way it is set up, the way I can jump between this board and, say, AIBU.

However, I am sick of having to self-police my own posts to such a degree that I am petrified of posting anything at all.

This decision to capitulate to people who aren't even interested in being MN posters, is insane as well as insulting.

spontaneousgiventime · 25/06/2018 13:41

But Lass, feelz are SO much more important than women.

OP posts:
woodstack · 25/06/2018 13:42

I salute all you intelligent, articulate brave posters. MN has well and truly opened my eyes over the last 2 years on this issue. Can I please also know where the other place is?

yipyap · 25/06/2018 13:42

ignore poster button would be great but isn't the point to goad us into producing more content and clicks?
Liking the wink idea

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 25/06/2018 13:47

They certainly are Spont. Didn't Tarquin say we are RACIST to victimize the poor men and their feelz! We should of course let them compete against us in sports, move into our wards and refuges and screw up stats and research!

Hell, let's go to space and colonize the moon and leave the earth to the important people with penises.

spontaneousgiventime · 25/06/2018 13:47

Look on the board today - TRA posting lies and misinformation by the shed load. We reply to correct it and just one slip up in language - strike. Ok, my strike today wasn't a momentary lapse but many are! It's not ok.

OP posts:
spontaneousgiventime · 25/06/2018 13:48

Penis' must rule the world and women must allow it. Law according to men and MN.

Southfields I feel the same about Mumsnet. I signed up a decade ago and it was FWR that brought me to MN as I had just had a daughter. I wanted to see what the world would bring her in her life and the barriers she might have to overcome.

Never in my worst nightmare would I have imagined this. And never would I have dreamed that MN, once so supportive of women, would have colluded with and aided these people who might just damage the very daughter I turned to MN for help with in trying to protect.

welshmist · 25/06/2018 13:50

I love that a woman at 3am can post about trouble breast feeding, they cannot sleep because of late pregnancy, or menopause, or more seriously they have been sexually physically abused, in the last few hours. The other threads that people are getting their knickers in a knot about are in the minority, most of us just want to know how to get through life, need tips about managing money, kids, the house, a job. school issues. Our partners/ mums/dads/inlaws. Not everything is worthy of a march on Westminster, but it does effect our own little lives much more.

Tarquin no once has ANYONE said hey we're ALL like that! We are worried about girls and women!! It is ALL about GIRLS AND WOMEN!!!

We centre girls and women. Unfortunately people can't stand that and try to make it all about men and how they are feeling!
