Well MNHQ we have the start of the exodus. Posters leaving due to these new guidelines that throw women under the bus.

A poster has deleted their account today due to the upset and stress of getting a strike for saying something that is 100% true. We know it's true because TRA's posted it on Twitter themselves, yet we post it and it's kick off time at HQ

It's a fucking disgrace HQ WOMEN are your target audience yet you don't give a fucking shiny shit about us. Not a fucking shit and it stinks.

More and more women will leave and you will be left with nothing more than people who present as opposite to their birth sex sitting posting about heels, make-up, clothes and fucking knitting.

A. You read what we're said about people who present as opposite to their birth sex and men who will simply use self ID to access our spaces you might come back and say sorry to us.

B. Autogynephilia is real, there are countless forums on the subject and it's fucking scary.

The women on MN have helped me through problems more than any midwife, health visitor or doctor. Sometimes it's the little off the cuff comment that can help the most (I remember being advised to throw the fucking parenting book out the door and get some sleep).

It's a ridiculous set of guidelines to be honest. I've always been very supportive of MNand at least seen where they were coming from with other scandals on here but this is putting a group of people who do not like actual women and having their virws more important. How often do you see a MtF dress in khakis and hoodie. No, they are deliberately exaggerating what is perceived to be womanly, which is insulting because you know what? Being a software developer who rides a motorcycle doesn't make Jen less of a woman.

Look at the correlation of FtM and see are they screaming as loud about this? Are they trying to give men a bad name? Certainly not as much. Also let's be real honest here in many cases it's either part of a fetish or a mother who wanted a daughter, not a son. with the former, you should not make the public a part of your foreplay and with the second, you should see therapy and cut that woman out of your life if she mistreated you.

I'm not saying there are not some cases of gender confusion or hatred of ones own genitalia. But first port of call should be therapy before anything is considered and secondly I think it's fairly rare.

It's almost like a jumping on the bandwagon thing. I'm not saying this to be nasty at all - like I said, I'm sure many believe what they say. But they should look why they dislike their body and whether transitioning really will change how you feel.

I think it's a dangerous game when you aren't allowed to use certain nouns/pronouns. Of course if someone posts for advice and is treated with offensive language, aggression and intolerance for the sake of intolerance then the post should be deleted. But if they are just stating their opinion "In my eyes if you were born withmale genitalia, you will always be a he" without personal attacking, then deletion seems bonkers.

I think MN should stick to their rule and personal attacks to an individual trans identifying person or to a woman from said trans identify person would lead to a deletion. Comments in general and opinions, should not be.

I am one of the posters with serious MH issues, unrelated, so I have stepped back from engagement. I’m still active in other places, well, a lot less active, but I’m still there. I can’t be arsed with linguistic contortions, so if I post on here and get deleted I don’t much care. I have no interest modifying my language to please people who don’t want my presence in the first place.

It's obvious to anyone that this forum is being brigaded. It's blindingly obvious this is what would happen when unworkable guidelines were introduced. It's sad.
