Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

I've had an idea

Feminists have already proved that they want to be called men by showing up at a pool and in their own words (identifying as male)

Woman claim that other woman are men when they are not and call them offensive things

Men and anyone else should have the right to refer to you on MN as men without having such posts removes or without facing discipline

I will refer to you as male from now on, if this isn't allowed then it's discrimination and I will file a case of discrimination to MN

Rufus yay!

diddlemethis · 05/06/2018 14:02

What I thought I could do, is ignore the original OP's "thoughts", then represent them verbatim, but in a manly authoritative way, and you would all nod sagely and agree even though I'm talking bollocks.

Yeah, the thing is when people are called something that they know 100% they aren’t, it doesn’t bother them.

But some delusional people (yes, you op) can’t handle anyone telling them the truth. And that’s because they know that they are 100% what they are being called.

Here’s an example:

Call women on mn men. No one gives a shit, no one gets upset. Because they unequivocally know that they are not men.

Here’s a second example:

Call a certain kind of trans identifying man a man. That man goes fecking bananas. He threatens and screams and sulks. Because he knows he is 100% a man, but is offended that no one else will lie for/to them.

You are as much a man as I am sweetheart.

We might have dysphoria, we might hate certain areas of our body enough to have them surgically removed. We might want to break out of the sterotupes that say we have to be macho, like girls and football, and never cry.

But that doesn’t change what we biologically are.

And attempting to take on the forged in fire and highly intelligent women on men with that pathetic attempt at upsetting someone is about as pointless as, well, your op.

spontaneousgiventime · 05/06/2018 14:03

Just be warned everyone. The OP creates merry hell the when posters reply goes squealing to MN. Just a heads up.

2rebecca · 05/06/2018 14:03

I don't care. Language is used for communication and in English whether we call someone he or she depends on what sex they appear to be. If someone who doesn't know me calls me he because they think I look like a man that doesn't bother me.
I know what sex I am.

hackmum · 05/06/2018 14:03

"I think equal pay should be done on a case by case basis and left up to the employer. I am happy with less pay so I don't see the problem"

LOL. Nice one, OP.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 05/06/2018 14:04

I am because men are the main bread winners and they burn up more energy and have to do hard labour so it's only fair they get more money to support them in their endeavours

DisturblinglyOrangeScrambleEgg · 05/06/2018 14:10

scurryfunge nice, very nice, I think you might be onto something

I'm pretty sure I'm going to add 'lunching in the face' to my day to day vocabulary. It's very descriptive, and pretty much how the kids approach lunch in the middle of a computer game (they're 7 and 4, but lack finesse - DS1 can fit in a whole boiled egg in one go!), or me, when trying to get 3 things done at once.
