Well spotted Rowan.
Last week's edition also was very relevant to feminism. Could be the presenter is an allie.

Ereshkigal · 03/06/2018 02:01

Don't the trans community have anyone else other than JF who will do these things?

Procrastinator1 · 03/06/2018 02:24

Is anyone here confident enough to inform the presenter, other participants in the programme and potential audience via social media of the position of the journalist participant on domestic violence and pornography? The DM article on transgender people in the prison system is of course very relevant.

Baroquehavoc · 03/06/2018 02:29

Don't the trans community have anyone else other than JF who will do these things?

JF seems to have toppled PL as the go to trans voice.

TERFragetteCity · 03/06/2018 06:30

Do you think they are choosing JF on purpose? So that people can use google and find out what they campaigned for when the were happy to be a man...and the knitting thing being so linked to AGP?

Pratchet · 03/06/2018 07:25

Looks like three against one.

Jane Fae on boring domestic violence and murder

Pratchet · 03/06/2018 07:35

PL is away on a big project.

Gileswithachainsaw · 03/06/2018 09:42

Oh god im.mot sure I can watch this.. .can someone post updates

JoanSummers · 03/06/2018 09:52

Jane Fae again?

Fae does the trans lobby no favours tbh, it just irritates me that JF can't ever be bothered to make an actual argument! Fae just sighs, does that annoying fake ladyvoice, patronises women, and tells lies that can be found out with the tiniest amount of work. If Fae weren't male not a single one of these media places would take Fae seriously enough to invite them on - every time Fae is on tv or radio or quoted somewhere it is blatant male privilege on action.

If there was a JF bingo sheet I'd be drunk every single time these issues got media attention.

JoanSummers · 03/06/2018 09:53

But still thank you for the tip R0wantrees! Grin

BelleHathor · 03/06/2018 10:25

MrsBartlettforthewin · 03/06/2018 10:28

Just came on to say this is on. Women talking now doing a good job

MrsBartlettforthewin · 03/06/2018 10:30

Love she mentioned the mail article

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 03/06/2018 10:30

Heather is fucking awful! State the facts and stop rambling

JoanSummers · 03/06/2018 10:30

What is Heather doing? It's a really straightforward question - why is it our business, what difference does it make to us?

She is rambling and not making any sense. This is a big opportunity to explain in a straightforward way, she has completely lost me and we are on the same side!

JoanSummers · 03/06/2018 10:31

What a mess :/

Writersblock2 · 03/06/2018 10:32

Oh dear. Not watching but these comments don’t sound good.

MrsBartlettforthewin · 03/06/2018 10:34

Is this the trans woman who says murder is domestic violence gone wrong.

JoanSummers · 03/06/2018 10:35

Yes MrsBartlett

boatyardblues · 03/06/2018 10:36

Jane off to a cracking start Hmm, talking about if Heather pushes JF under a car or stabs JF, Heather will go to mens prisons because there’s no category A provision.

R0wantrees · 03/06/2018 10:37

This is the article that Heather mentioned:
"But one governor, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: ‘My fear is that this could make it much harder to control the transfer of born-male, transgender prisoners to women’s prisons.

‘This could lead to vulnerable women being intimidated – and even attacked.’

The warning came as the Ministry of Justice confirmed that dozens of ‘trans-identified male’ prisoners are living as women in jails exclusively housing convicted sex offenders."

additionally...

"Prison reformer Frances Crook said that she was worried that ‘some men with a history of extreme violence and sexual violence against women have found a new way of exercising aggression towards women’

Ms Crook, executive director of the Howard League for Penal Reform, added: ‘These men are not transitioning because they like women and want to be a woman, but in order to exert a new kind of control and dominance over women, a sort of infiltration.

‘Moreover, the process is inherently discriminatory. A woman identifying as a man could not be transferred to a man’s jail because placing a person with female attributes into a prison to live with 1,000 men, all using communal showers and living areas, would put them in serious danger.’"

Heather has been a bit roundabout in making her points, which is a shame as she really knows her stuff.

JoanSummers · 03/06/2018 10:37

I don't know if Heather is feeling intimidated by JF. She looks really really uncomfortable. JF always leans in on women and waves Fae's hands around in their faces and touches them unnecessarily and without invitation. It is uncomfortable to watch let alone sit next to.

DrinkReprehensibly · 03/06/2018 10:39

Sorry, I don't remember the names of the speakers.

The woman who spoke first did absolutely terribly. She mus have known they would come to her early on, being a named person on the front row. Why didn't she prepare something concise and easy to understand? She has made herself look very unreasonable.

The person who spoke second is now directly staring at every person who speaks in quite an intimidating way!

boatyardblues · 03/06/2018 10:40

Yes, the body language is telling. I’ve only seen JF behind a desk on TV before. Seeing Fae sitting next to Heather and another chap, Fae is large - tall and broad.
