I'm afraid I can give any more details right now but our next meeting is going to be on the evening of Wednesday 13th June in central London. Info and tickets will be available next week, save the date!

This meeting will be vastly improved due to the very kind donation of wireless microphones from Mumsnet's @janey143 - thank you Janey, you're a Star

Yay!! Bought my ticket and getting excited now Smile

Yay! Can't wait to meet you all (or maybe I already know you - I have no idea who anyone is on MN 😂) 😘😘

Yay!

drradfem My daughter lives about 30-45 minutes outside of London and would love to come to a meeting. She wants me to come with her, she can't make this meeting as her hubby is working late, will there be another meeting in London soon? If yes, I will stay at hers, she can book the day off and make sure her hubby isn't working late.

Whoop whoop - ticket bought!

ChoccyJules · 04/06/2018 22:46

I have just realised this is run by a different group to the Woman's Place events - are they similar in aims etc? I think I must have been following the meetings of both online without noticing they were two separate entities!

Terfulike · 04/06/2018 23:00

I got a ticket for me plus one and my 19 year old daughter a student at goldsmiths said yes!

Sheila Jeffries is discussing this at the meeting if anyone wants a look beforehand.

Terfulike · 05/06/2018 00:37

Jeez that's seriously heavy and seriously important!

PencilsInSpace · 05/06/2018 00:57

Hi Venice can you say which TV broadcasters will be there and what programmes they're making?

hipsterfun · 05/06/2018 02:04

And will there be part of the room where those who don’t wish to filmed/streamed can be?

ibaker23 · 05/06/2018 02:05

Can't people see you when you're in your car or on the sidewalk or at the Tescos?

hipsterfun · 05/06/2018 02:14

People can’t see me when I’m in my car, no.

ibaker23 · 05/06/2018 02:36

Person behind you sees what you do right? And then you make a right turn and new people get to see what you do. Like you're associated with your car in public when you're driving, and you're associated in this 13th meeting by being there? I don't see the difference.

drradfem · 05/06/2018 05:45

Hi, I'm afraid I can't say which broadcasters. They will blur the faces of people who don't want to be filmed. However, if protesters and broadcasters are not your thing, you might be best watching the live stream from home. I don't know when the next London meeting will be, I'm afraid x

Got my ticket! Grin Have been rather lurksome of late, but still here.

Beerincomechampagnetastes · 05/06/2018 06:36

Ticket purchased, the first I’ve been able to make with lots of shuffling Smile

Pratchet · 05/06/2018 07:19

Not sure driving is relevant. People might not want to be filmed attending a meeting, it's obvious why. Venice says the broadcasters will blur faces which is great, but may be a reassurance that online cameras will focus on the stage, might help too.

ibaker23 · 05/06/2018 07:24

Pratc
When you're driving people see you following guidelines. When you're at a meeting people see you following guidelines. It is not obvious to me why you wouldn't want to be filmed in a meeting because I would never go to any meeting.

Pratchet · 05/06/2018 07:25

Ok thanks 🙂

BeUpStanding · 05/06/2018 08:35

Ticket bought!

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 05/06/2018 08:43

Gosh I would love to come but can't ask DD to babysit as it's bang in the middle of her A level exams.
My DS10 could be disguised as a short butch lesbian but I think he may give the game away. And also not quite in the spirit of the meeting Grin
I'm going to have to watch the livesteam, aren't I? These shackles of motherhood seem very tight at the moment.

HopeMumsnet · 05/06/2018 09:18

Hi all, it's pretty clear that we have picked up a derailer. We're on the case, but we'll leave the posts so that the thread makes some sort of sense. No need for further reports on this one, thanks!

Pratchet · 05/06/2018 09:21

Thank you MN 👍

EmpressOfSpartacus · 05/06/2018 10:02

Thanks Hope Gin
