Ask Hadley on Jordan Peterson

I know that 'Ask Hadley' is a lighthearted column but she opens by damning him by association (he doesn't choose his fans) and essentially writes a hit piece by cutting and pasting a previous hit piece. ReluctantCamper could have written this for a fraction of Hadley's fee!

I understand opinions on Peterson are somewhat mixed to say the least but, in the wake of her articles on the Trafalgar Square anti-semitism demo and ManFriday, this article comes across as a disappointingly weak effort.

Thoughts?

(And link - don't seem to be able to do clicky links on my phone, sorry: www.theguardian.com/fashion/2018/may/23/jordan-peterson-public-intellectual-isnt-clever-violent-men-monogamy).

"Yes, but saying it multiple times doesn’t make it a fact."

I don't think anyone can credibly argue that social stigma is the only reason why more men join the army than women, or why 99.9% of people clearing fatbergs from sewers are men.

"his motivation for doing that appears to be to show that feminists are wrong. As does yours."

You keep trying to infer some kind of motivation, almost as if you're a mindreader.

"Facts don't care about feelings". I've said many times there is compelling evidence for innate behaviour differences. Compelling evidence is compelling evidence.

You really should make the time to watch the linked episode of that Norwegian documentary. The whole series is worth a watch.

I wonder if I started a discussion thread how many people would actually bother to watch and critique

Start the thread and see?

What is your motivation?

Props to you flowers for continuing to try.....

You keep trying to infer some kind of motivation

both you and JP must have some sort of motivation right? You've spent a lot of time and energy on pushing this nature thing. I'm assuming there's a reason. I mean no-one on the internet knows you're bacteria, but I'm assuming you aren't one?

some people probably - why don't you try? I think that Norwegian doco has been discussed on here already tbh.

you're probably better posting articles rather than vids tbh as many people here are MN-ing while either working or looking after kids. both incompatible with settling down in front of an in depth documentary.

Just in case we are under any doubt about JP’s motivation, these are his own words (in the New York Times):

“The people who hold that our culture is an oppressive patriarchy, they don’t want to admit that the current hierarchy might be predicated on competence”
"The masculine spirit is under assault."

tl;dr Women – know your place
