Uneducated?? No.

Ignorant?? Maybe

I just have 0 idea. I read about it a lot but most goes over my head because I've never really read into it to understand it enough.

Feminism is the political movement for the liberation of women.
You're welcome.

Well I'm with you op. I don't know what the difference is between equality and feminism. Other than the fact that people generally seem able to talk about equality in a calm, non-aggressive way. Whereas I find that's not the case with feminism. - which is why I tend to steer clear of threads about it - can't stand the aggro.
And no, I'm not a man. And yes, I do totally support equality between the sexes.

I've absolutely no idea how Ed Shearan is a rich and successful popstar.

I've absolutely no idea why Mrs Brown's boys is a popular TV program.

I've absolutely no idea how to get DS1 to practice his times tables.

can you help with any of these OP? You may as well make yourself useful now you're here.

Your OP is Bull. What do you want? Are you asking us to educate you? Hang about, we do that lots

Feminism is equality for women because we are oppressed by a patriarchal system. Men already have superiority given to them by a system which makes them privileged, so they don't need an equality. Similar idea as to why we don't need a "Straight Pride" or #whitelivesmatter

I think some of the difference is that people talk about equality in a sort of abstract sense. As a good thing. Whereas feminists tend to have a focus on a specific aspect of equality that has impacted them directly. Which makes it more nitty gritty and hence may seem like Agro to someone who expects a genteel self reassuring conversation that simply serves to assert their self worth.

Doesn't work all that well for me AllyMcBeagle, I hear either one or the other at different viewings/listenings. Just started a thread in Chat about it since I was reminded of it here and haven't seen a thread about it yet.

Rugby is difficult. They keep changing it. Years ago you couldn't pick people up in the line out.

They'll be wearing shoulder padding next and calling it American Football

I only hear one at a time but it changes depending on which one I'm thinking of.
