Apparently Justine's husband is now Director of Programmes at Chanel 4.
Just leaving that here.

that's intriguing...

Opheliah · 04/05/2018 16:39

He's always been high up in the 'media.

And?

Melamin · 04/05/2018 16:39

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 04/05/2018 16:43

He was head of Newsnight last I heard.

Nothing googleable so far

lightthedarkness · 04/05/2018 16:44

And? Since when are women defined by their husbands / partners?
Fancy posting this on the feminist board. You should be ashamed OP.

jasperpop · 04/05/2018 16:45

so nothing to do with the Transkult shit we are about to be engulfed by?
yep - all good for publicity

brattyboomboom · 04/05/2018 16:48

And what?

MrPan · 04/05/2018 16:48

Just leaving that there?

Well pick it up again. And return it to your passive aggressive pocket.

FFS

MsMcWoodle · 04/05/2018 16:48

lightthedarkness - no - not ashamed, but then I didn't take a bite out of another poster for no reason.
I do know a bit about how relationships work though.

Well Justine has peaktransed and no doubt they chat sometimes what with being husband and wife, so there's every possibility he's peaktransed too which is fab.

Anyway he moved to channel 4 over 6 months ago.

I wish them both well.

This thread is slightly odd and uncomfortable.

MrPan · 04/05/2018 16:49

The OP is about 12.

MsMcWoodle · 04/05/2018 16:50

Oh, if there's nothing of interest here, why don't you just move on.
The fact that you haven't tells me lots.

OP posts:
MrPan · 04/05/2018 16:52

If it's a thing then name it instead of behaving like a nasty little child.

MsMcWoodle · 04/05/2018 16:53

MrPan - maybe some anger management?

Slitherout · 04/05/2018 16:54

Bugger, opened this thinking they were going to be on Gogglebox or he was going on big brother or something, definitely non news. I'm sure Mumsnet, especially referring to the collective users as much as the actual site, will remain unchanged by his job, HTH.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 04/05/2018 16:54

The OP is probably hinting at the fact that Caitlin Jenner is going to give some sort of Diversity lecture sponsored by Channel 4. Julie Bindel is very unhappy about this. I will admit to raising an eyebrow that in three years they haven't been able to find a suitable biological female to do it.

To say that Justine has been influenced by her husband's job in the current frenzy is verging on tin foil hat territory for me.

TheFallenMadonna · 04/05/2018 16:56

Verging on tin foil hat territory?

OP, when you start threads like this - personal threads, implying all sorts - you sound like a fool.

Everyone's known since time began that Justine's husband is in the media. Everyone also knows she's her own woman and he won't be dictating anything to her, nor will she to him.

Are women in 2018 to be judged by what job their husbands do?

MsMcWoodle · 04/05/2018 16:59

Okay, good then, so the consensus is that the recent change in policy at Mumsnet has nothing to do with this. Fine.
I thought it was interesting development, you guys don't. Not the first time I haven't agreed with everyone on Mumsnet.

that's fine. of course she has her own mind.
sadly now she has buckled under the transkult onslaught.

plus the handmaid that leaked the data of women who didn't agree.
seems MN fem thread is not what it was.

i.e. by women for women. BIOLOGICAL WOMEN OBVS

MrPan · 04/05/2018 17:07

As head of programming and commissioning since only January this year and knowing how far ahead programmes are commissioned and planned it's v highly likely Mr Katz had little to do with this. Or it was well under way and his editorial exec team had significant say.

lightthedarkness · 04/05/2018 17:07

Feminists acknowledge women as independent beings, not under the influence of their partners. Women have separate identities and careers. In your desperation to score points, you're exhibiting the first rule of misogyny - 'Women are responsible for what men do'.

MsMcWoodle · 04/05/2018 17:09

And I think you're being naive. We'll have to agree to differ.
