Indeed lang, I have been eyeing up Aldi's own recently but have resisted due to my fierce brand loyalty to Birds eye.

The part about pronouns that really confuses me is that we use them when the person we are refering to is not present & the purpose is to refer to the person in shorthand in a way that is understood by the person you are speaking to so if someone uses the wrong pronoun surely the person being addressed is the one that should object?
I am (clearly) not a language specialist so maybe this is all wrong. I am however a scientist so i can confidently say that mamals cant change sex.

I'd be really fucking annoyed if someone asked me what my personal pronouns are.

My response would probably be 'I'm so glad you asked that question because I wasn't sure what yours were.'

Deadnaming is a stupid word and concept.

We can't just wriggle out of responsibility for all our previous misdeeds by changing name and 'transing'. Suggesting otherwise is asking us to buy into this baptist idea that all your sins are washed away and you start anew.

You were perfectly alive and active before this change, people still remember who you were and what you have done.. so it is fair enough for them to be true to their own memories even if it embarrasses you.

They call it a "pronoun round", because you're supposed to go round in a circle with everyone saying their pronouns. "I don't care" is apparently a very offensive response.
