Thanks to the Amazing Women of FWR

I have de-lurked (un-lurked?) after many many years to say this.
I can only read this board for a couple of weeks before needing to take a few months off in a repeating cycle it's so infuriating and frustrating that my blood pressure canna take it. How do you do it?

There so many amazing strong , clever and impressively persistent women here that I don't have enough hats to take off to you all.

The piss trolls, poo trolls, the patronising , the perverts, the needy, the narcissists and the downright nasty just keep coming and so many of you stay regardless to keep standing up for women.

I picture a line of those tennis ball launchers pounding out the misogyny one side of the net and Martina Navratilova and Serena Williams one the other. You just keep hitting them back with seemingly endless reserves of practice, patience and power.

Mostly lurker, occasional poster. This place brought me back to rad fem activism. Brilliantly funny awesomely intelligent posters. A sanity saver. Thank you.

I also didn't realise I was a radfem until I discovered FWR

And I discovered FWR due to being called a TERF and wondering what the hell that was. Before this, I used AIBU and chat only.

I suspect a lot of posters discovered radical feminism in the same way to be honest.

Do watch this. It seems more poignant to me now than when it was screened.

I registered today after reading this post, and i completely agree. Thanks to all the women here, and to MN for providing this space to talk and debate.

I really thought MN was going to be about baby yoga and anti-vaccine, or something. (Not meaning to diss this, its just not my thing). To my surprise I found funny, intelligent women. I wish I had found this forum ages ago. Anyway, i'm not great at conversations so i'll go back to lurking. For now.

Please can someone tell me what FWR means? I've wracked my brains, I know it's going to be something really obvious. I also think I might like it but I don't know how to find it.

I've started posting after having been away from here for many years,, (only returning to lurk occasionally over that period), because of all the amazing posters and work done on the FWR boards. Keep on, keeping on.

I have learned so much from you all. My attitudes have changed, as have my boundaries.
