So it would appear that Linda has been arrested and interviewed for saying she would protect herself if the tra's attacked.... What the actual fuck?? This is getting ridiculous we need to act!

If someone posted links between litigation in Cardiff and Swansea, I wouldn't be here harping on about Not All South Wales, and view someone who is doing so about Yorkshire as disingenuous at best.

People have linked them, they are next to one another. 🙄

Popchyk · 01/05/2018 18:32

I'm really sorry that happened to you missbonita. Awful.

Can you tell me the name of the police force who questioned you? I will include it in my list of Yorkshire all round dodginess.

ReluctantCamper · 01/05/2018 18:33

what an outright waste of police time.

they should be ashamed of themselves.

I support Linda.

Popchyk · 01/05/2018 18:35

I am with Linda.

Too right.

PigeonStreet1 · 01/05/2018 18:38

So someone reports a potentially transphobic public order offence to the police, the police investigate it in the most non restrictive way possible, and still the police are at fault?

Meanwhile how many women per day are subject to male violence and the police turn a blind eye

None.

AnitaLovesVictor · 01/05/2018 18:38

N Yorks police have links with Mermaids too.

AssassinatedBeauty · 01/05/2018 18:39

This is madness, as everyone else has said. I'm baffled at the police time being spent on this when police forces across the country aren't able/willing to investigate actual reported crimes like car crime and burglary.

I am totally in support of Linda.

ChickenMe · 01/05/2018 18:39

Wtf
I read the transcript of what she said - I got it immediately
Some special snowflake has deliberately misinterpreted that to suit their own agenda. And the police are pandering to it.
I hope she took a solicitor with her

AssassinatedBeauty · 01/05/2018 18:41

@PigeonStreet1 this could have been investigated by a single police officer watching the original live stream and using their brain.

BeyondParody · 01/05/2018 18:42

Surely it doesn't require an interview though. Someone reports the video. Police do a five minute search of YouTube and find the actual, whole, unedited video. Watch it. Tell off complainant for time-wasting.
Done.

BeyondParody · 01/05/2018 18:43

Or what assassinated said.

AnitaLovesVictor · 01/05/2018 18:44

Women have absolutely been told by the police that nothing can be done - when subjected to stalking, violence and threats by ex partners, and similar. Some have been killed by said stalkers/exes as a result.

Karen Ingala Smith collates their names, and Jean Hatchet raises money via sponsored cycle rides for them.

Disgusting to see this waste of police time & resources. I stand with Linda.

JessicaJonesJacket · 01/05/2018 18:46

^Meanwhile how many women per day are subject to male violence and the police turn a blind eye
None.^
Care to explain? Or did you just want to tie your MRA tendencies to the flag as early as possible?

missbonita · 01/05/2018 18:49

West Yorkshire Police.
Last time I discussed this on a thread I was suddenly attacked by multiple 'new' posters all accusing me of all sorts. I've name changed since then and do so regularly since it happened.

DietCoke87 · 01/05/2018 18:50

@PigeonStreet1 none? Really?

Datun · 01/05/2018 18:53

I know this is so outrageous it causes one's heart to briefly skip a beat with the unbelievability of it all.

But they really, really never cease to amaze me with their relentless propensity for more and more own goals. Their PR is appalling. The blind foot shooting is almost comic.

The people they have targeted? A mother of four young children, a black, lesbian pensioner, an actual transsexual and a grandmother (speakers corner).

And they claim it's because these women have frightened them?

As soon as the general public get wind of all this, these TRAs are absolute mincemeat. It makes them look ridiculous.

Sorry, missbonita.

Don't want to out you all over again.

It is absolutely not on to be hounded for doing nothing wrong whatsoever.

FermatsTheorem · 01/05/2018 18:56

Ah yes, the famous "safe" red light district, where a prostitute was murdered within weeks of it being opened. RIP Dara.

Ofspartacus · 01/05/2018 18:57

-Police in Yorkshire were aware of widespread CSA , trafficking and prostitution rings for years and did nothing
-ex police officer owns a Brothel in decriminalised zone

Yonimumster · 01/05/2018 18:59

Solidarity with Linda Bellos. This is a deeply sinister development .

PigeonStreet1 · 01/05/2018 19:00

@PigeonStreet1 this could have been investigated by a single police officer watching the original live stream and using their brain

Why would they know it's edited? Why would they know there was a live stream?

She had a VI about an allegation made against her. She had her chance to tell them then this was an edit and it's all been taken out of context. (I've no idea if that was the case) and explain what she said and what she meant when she said it.

She could only do this under caution because they were asking questions about her involvement in a potential criminal offence. Legally they have to. An interview under caution is serious, but by itself its little more than an investigative tool. Its not a indicator of guilt. It's hardly a police conspiracy to follow the law and practice guidelines

AssassinatedBeauty · 01/05/2018 19:02

Why is this a priority to investigate when police forces are explicitly stating they don't have the numbers of police officers to investigate various types of crime? Seriously?

PigeonStreet1 · 01/05/2018 19:06

Care to explain? Or did you just want to tie your MRA tendencies to the flag as early as possible

Sure. How many women have reported violence to you as a police officer and you've turned a blind eye to, or have seen your colleagues do So?

Terfragette69 · 01/05/2018 19:06

And now Mathew Wright has quit The Wright Stuff over the 'incident', 2 decades and complaints by tra's...... Now this is going to go mainstream.
