MNHQ Deletion Policy

TheUterati · 30/04/2018 17:03

Earlier today the Trans Park Run thread was deleted in its entirety because SOME posts alleging cheating were deemed to be 'not in the spirit' of MN.

We have a thread about that running.

I have just been deleted on the Heather Peto thread for posting this:

"Bless..."

A post intended to be mildly dismissive.

That was deleted for breaking talk guidelines.

Give me a fucking break MNHQ.

"Bless..." gets a deletion!??!?!

TRA really have got you on a short chain, haven't they?

Tru I can completely feel what you are saying. It is not your fault that people with an agenda appropriated your condition and ran with it.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 30/04/2018 23:12

Have the deletions eased off?

Now im more worried...its too calm

And i need to go to bed

ReluctantCamper · 30/04/2018 23:12

crikey Truscum, don't you be taking responsibility for this mess. You did what you needed to to get through. that's all any of us do.

Pratchet · 30/04/2018 23:13

Truscum: diesntbyour post show how harmful transgenderism is for people with serious dysphoria? How can help be made available when there is a move to force normalisation through all official channels? I heard a Radio 4 piece about a child who needed mental health support. Being told he was trans by kids at school, he told his mum and they went to the doctor. But because of the magic word 'gender' they were not offered any mental health support at all*.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 30/04/2018 23:13

I agree with everyone else tru

My friends child feels very similar...whatever works for you

ReluctantCamper · 30/04/2018 23:13

yeah, I'm properly tired. but if the deletion fairy comes I don't want to miss it. does she only visit when you're awake?

Truscum · 30/04/2018 23:13

You're the wrong kind of trans person, Tru

And proud of it Grin👍

CadyHeron · 30/04/2018 23:14

Thanks for your post, truscum, good to hear your view on the whole issue.

People have been accused of cheating on AIBU hundreds of times.
Yet never a deletion.

FermatsTheorem · 30/04/2018 23:14

Tru - more Flowers from me too. I feel like your genuine and unthreatening efforts to deal with your dysphoria as best you could (efforts which I have never found threatening either in the past or now) have been hijacked by some cuntless cunts of the first order. That hijacking isn't your fault.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 30/04/2018 23:16

reluctant

Ive said it before but bad things happen when i go to bed

Brexit

Trump

There is a pattern

If i do go to bed people have got to promise to pm me

I dont want anyone to go missing and not realise for months (as usual)

SupermatchGame · 30/04/2018 23:16

Super explicitly tied their attempt at coercive control in with an implied threat of legal action against anyone who won't obey them.

Angry this just gets more and more bizarre.

I have never threatened legal action or even implied it. I was giving a reason why it's not ok to say some of the things you've said such as "trans women are not women/ female", or "trans women should be treated like men" because it goes against the legal position. That's one reason why most people don't think it's ok.

I haven't threatened anyone. I've stated views that are not in agreement with yours. I've made one or maybe two slip ups where I've said something a bit rude. But never once have I threatened or demanded obedience. The only think that is explicit here is your lie.

SupermatchGame · 30/04/2018 23:16

*thing

AnitaLovesVictor · 30/04/2018 23:16

Thanks for posting that, Truscum. I consider you in no way responsible for the fucking mess we are all in now. Transactivism is almost indistinguishable from the men's rights movement now - showing misogyny, violence against women, wanting to erode women's sexual boundaries and privacy, and just the good old-fashioned wish to shut women up.

You clearly care very much about women and women's rights, and speak out about it constantly Thanks

AngryAttackKittens · 30/04/2018 23:17

I think this is why children with autism are increasingly (in alarming numbers) being swept up in this damaging ideology. They don’t know what being the other sex feels like, all they know is that they don’t feel comfortable in their own skin.

Yes and can we please as a society talk about this? Autistic children are particularly vulnerable to this trend. So far the official response to that issue being raised has ranged from "meh" to "fuck you, bigot!". This is not acceptable. As a society we are failing those children.

I am absolutely furious on behalf of Red. IWill, is not hearing your child, who's not even part of this conversation, referred to as male worth causing Red this much distress? How many women's distress would be worth it, to avoid having to acknowledge your child as male (an unusual male, but still male)? Because Red is far from the only one.

And the others, Supermatch and Paola, don't even have a dog in this fight the way IWill does. What's their excuse?

RefuseToDenounceBiology · 30/04/2018 23:19

I actually feel really anxious every time someone says 'transwomen are women' or 'a boy can be a girl' or even use the word 'daughter' to describe a male. It freaks me out and gives me a tight chest.

Every time a transwoman says 'yes I am male', or 'yes you can call me he' I feel my tension loosen a bit and I can breathe a bit easier.

LangCleg · 30/04/2018 23:20

I am absolutely furious on behalf of Red.

I am raging as well.

Pratchet · 30/04/2018 23:21

It's not ok to say some of the things you've said such as "trans women are not women/ female", or "trans women should be treated like men" because it goes against the legal position.

For the third time: no, it doesn't. Stop ignoring this.

FermatsTheorem · 30/04/2018 23:21

"Some women have penises" is a phrase I find absolutely enraging.

There are some individuals with penises who sincerely wish they had been born as women - fair enough, I wish them every bit of luck in dressing however they want and adopting whatever name they want (still draw the line at having them in single sex spaces though).

But the penis is not now, never has been, and never will be a female organ.

SupermatchGame · 30/04/2018 23:22

No Angry it was the one with 'foaming bile' actually.

Please show us where I have threatened anyone or demanded obedience?

AngryAttackKittens · 30/04/2018 23:23

Hey Rufus, who knows what will happen in the morning? We could wake up to find a giant steaming crater with WE TOLD YOU TO BE NICE written on it. The mods could develop an understanding of how authoritarian personalities operate overnight. But most likely just more deletions and maybe a few bannings.

Flowers Truscum. This shit is not your fault. Nobody can persuade people with personality disorders act like reasonable considerate
humans, if anyone ever figured out how to do that they'd be the richest person in the history of psychiatry.

thebewilderness · 30/04/2018 23:23

Some posters are allowed to lie

Some posters are not allowed to tell the truth

That is the bit that has my BS meter cranked up to woman the lifeboats.

Rufustheconstantreindeer · 30/04/2018 23:25

We could wake up to find a giant steaming crater with WE TOLD YOU TO BE NICE written on it.

Thats virtually the exact same thing I'm worried about

Cept mine says WE FUCKING TOLD YOU TO BE NICE

AngryAttackKittens · 30/04/2018 23:26

Note Supermatch that I did not report that comment! So, high road and all that.

The threat was in the comment where you oh so subtly hinted that perhaps saying that trans women are male might be against the law? And what about the Equalities Act? And perhaps we could discuss?

Which you will no doubt claim was not a threat (pull the other one, mate, it's got bells on).
