Mayday for Women are arranging a mass resignation letter. Quote

• After this letter it is clearly not tenable to remain. We’re therefore finalising a collective resignation NOW. If want to resign over Self-ID dont do it alone - join other women! We’ll be sending letters of names into newspapers. Email name + CLP to [email protected]

We’ve so far gathered 300+ signatures of women who wish to resign if Lab formally agreed Self-ID for AWS. That’s now happened through this letter.
Women are so angry about this many wanted to leave months ago. We’d discussed a Women’s strike for May elections. #LabourLosingWomen *

I've added my name to this letter. I've never done anything like this - eeek!

I have always been a life long labour supporter and voter, if not a member. But no longer.
I am old enough to remember the bad old days of the militant tendency, when the left wing of the party made it almost unelectable, I thought we were past that, but apparently not.
I cannot vote for them again, I feel politically homeless.

While I cannot sign as I am not a member, can anyone give me the email address of who to email to support this?

I will be resigning but not until after I stay to cast my vote for one of the biological women standing against a self identified trans woman on an all women shortlist in my clp. I owe them that. I don’t expect any of them to succeed. He is already supported by momentum and funding from several unions. But on principle I will first deny him my vote.

Not sure if this has been posted but Mayday are asking people to sign up to a thunderclap https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/69765-labour-women-mass-resignation. Apparently it needs 100 people to sign up and they're just short.

I am doing this - but as anonymous plus CLP.

I can't face any more conversations (mostly with lovely people who haven't the faintest idea what all this is about) or arguments IRL about this.

It has been a struggle not to resign from Labour over all the other rubbish - I think I will feel sad but relieved.

I feel so relieved now that today is finally here! Like I've left an abusive relationship! Does anyone know if the letter has been published in full anywhere? Particularly online? The Times article seemed to just quote parts from the letter. I would just like to prepare myself for the onslaught in case my name is made public !

Now, since my resignation from the Labour Party, my lifelong Labour party member other half - whenever he starts getting spouty about the Labour Party I just say 'not my problemo any more mate'.

I just wanted to know if my name was in the public domain!

I think it was just published as a Letter to the Editor with 10 or so signatories but referring to more than 300 other people who'd also signed. I don't think the entire list was published.
