I'm booking tickets when I get paid at the end of the week. I cannot tell you how happy I am that this is happening in Cornwall. Thank you!

Writersblock2 · 25/04/2018 18:37

I’m really pleased it’s happening too. Things never get down to Cornwall usually! :D

Kenworthington · 25/04/2018 18:50

@DearSergio I’m in Exeter too and am interested in going down to this (though exeter would be way preferable)

Kenworthington · 25/04/2018 19:12

In fact I’ve just had a thought- I’m (potentially) coming from Exeter on my own and I have a van with 9 seats- anyone want to do a road trip with me?

Thanks for the explanation very helpful! Sorry not always able to be on mn. I'll be passing on the info to any women who might b interested in this event definitely!

DistaffSide · 26/04/2018 21:54

Is it booked out yet? Sounds really busy Grin

RaininSummer · 27/04/2018 00:22

Booked my ticket. I will be driving hopefully from just over the border. Would like to meet up... will DM writers. Can also probably offer a lift or two to any peeps nearby.

Kenworthington · 27/04/2018 07:13

Ok I’m going to book my ticket today and I’m bringing two friends and one of them is bringing a friend. They didn’t know anything about any of this and were eager to hear more. I still have 5 seats in my mini bus if anyone wants to pm me for a lift from Exeter

Writersblock2 · 27/04/2018 21:08

Thanks everyone who has bought tickets so far. We need to push this so please share far and wide and ask your friends if they want to come along.

pickledparsnip · 28/04/2018 09:41

Just bought 2 tickets! Going to take my Mum. Will share the event on my Facebook. Pretty sure there will be some backlash from some people on my friend list, but fuck them. I'm fed up with feeling like I can't talk about this.

Pratchet · 28/04/2018 10:39

Bump, I went to London, if you have a chance to go, then GO! Brilliant atmosphere, loads of fun, fires you up!

DistaffSide · 28/04/2018 11:04

Ken your party bus sounds fun. I've let an Exeter friend know and will pm you if they are coming.

Kenworthington · 28/04/2018 16:23

Cool @Distaffside I may even know her that would be weird eh?!

Writersblock2 · 29/04/2018 13:02

Good for you pickledparsnip - that’s a good attitude to take. Hopefully you’ll be surprised and some people on your social
media will be up for discussion at least!

Thanks Writersblock2. I think my friends fall into two camps, either "live and let live. It's all bollocks, just be whatever you want to be" and "anyone who doesn't support (ie anyone who questions) trans rights 100% is an evil terf."
It'll be interesting.....
(still trying to muster up the courage to share).

I live in Falmouth, and have some very right on friends.

Wanderabout · 01/05/2018 09:54

Definitely go if you can!

I went to a WPUK event, travelled two hours to get there and back again. It was so worth it!

Met some amazing people, including transwomen. Everyone who spoke or who I spoke to were really caring, thoughtful and passionate people.

I was a bit scared of the idea of protesters but they were just students chanting.

Definitdly go if you can, and take your friends!

Writersblock2 · 02/05/2018 07:43

Thanks, wanderabout - hopefully loads will show up and the event will be a success!!
