Good to see some of the comments though! A lot of people publicly challenging this shit.

Lampage · 02/04/2018 12:01

The comments Grin

I ❤ these two in particular

A Woman's Place is supporting her trans colleagues

Shock How can anyone think that's ok?

Comments are good though.

Ellenripleysalienbaby · 02/04/2018 12:16

Argh, my eyes!!!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 02/04/2018 12:33

Someone would have to have so little idea of the history of women's oppression to think a t shirt like that is in any way ok.

CircleSquareCircleSquare · 02/04/2018 12:44

Tone deaf fools!

dorothyparka · 02/04/2018 12:48

Unashamed sexism really is making quite the comeback isn't it

Elendon · 02/04/2018 12:52

Wow! Shock They actually spent money on these t shirts and expected women to buy them?

Way to put women into their place - hidden, silent and agreeable.

Yes, exactly. Even just reading it out loud is kind of chilling. I know its supposed to be in response to the 'Women's Place' movement, but still, there doesn't seem to be any thought applied here at all. Which is kind of typical of the whole thing tbh.

rowdywoman1 · 02/04/2018 13:01

Bet all the transactivists are wearing theirs with pride. Order of 2,000 for Momentum just come in Grin

Exactly. They predictably haven't grasped this at all.

Ereshkigal · 02/04/2018 13:04

The whole point of the "A Woman's Place" slogans is that they subvert the original idea of a woman's place being in the home supporting her husband while he does all the important things. They just basically turn it back to its original sexism.

Ereshkigal · 02/04/2018 13:05

"A woman's place is speaking out"

A woman's place is in the revolution"

Tackytriceratops · 02/04/2018 13:12

🙄

terryleather · 02/04/2018 13:13

Bow your heads women, and welcome your TIM overlords!!!!

Saw those ridiculous tshirts on my Twitter feed this morning closely followed by this stultifyingly stupid queer/pomo bullshit takedown of Hadley Freeman's piece in the Guardian.

I keep telling myself to stay off Twitter for the good of my health - utter arrant bs like this is the reason why.

HerFemaleness · 02/04/2018 13:14

Dear god, and somebody actually signed off on that?

Why would any self-respecting woman wander around with a t-shirt that proclaims her lot in life is to support other people? Bollocks to that, a woman's place is standing her ground.

OddBoots · 02/04/2018 13:15

Goes to show what happens when people use their feelings in place of their brains, no wonder they 'no debate' everything and they can't tell the difference between killing an ideology and killing a person.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/04/2018 13:18

Nah, mate. Not having that.

A woman's place is in the revolution, not groveling at some arrogant man's feet, regardless of whether or not he's wearing a dress.

LangCleg · 02/04/2018 13:19

The good thing about the Twatter is that everyone who indulges this BS is on there - and that "everyone" is a tiny proportion of the population which in no way reflects the views of the wider public. We can see them.

The bad thing about the Twatter is that this "everyone" operates in a self-defined (oh, the irony) echo chamber and genuinely believes it reflects the views of the wider public. They can't see us.

ElenOfTheWays · 02/04/2018 13:20

Seems to sum up the entire TRA ideology in one short sentence.

But TRAs won't like it either as it's "othering".
They really got it wrong on all fronts here.

OohMavis · 02/04/2018 13:21

"So woke. Much feminism."

Grin
R0wantrees · 02/04/2018 13:22

propaganda.... propaganda.... propaganda!

Yes I laughed at the person earnestly saying "are you saying trans women aren't women"? Grin

Howyoualldoworkme · 02/04/2018 13:31

Is it just me who wanted to say "Parklife" after some of those bollocky statements by @ binarythis?
