See what they are re-tweeting:

twitter.com/LGBTLD

(Not sure how to link to the exact tweet but it's the Cole Zachary one).

There really is no one to vote for, is there?

I guess the "I fetishize women as the angel in the house and now you've ruined that for me by being people instead!" sentiment fits well with the generalized belief in stereotypes.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 11/11/2018 18:15

I really thought womankind was a better class if person

This is the problem in a nutshell isn't it. We aren't living representatives of anybody's feminine values. We are human beings. Get over it.

sackrifice · 11/11/2018 18:17

I read 'better class of [sic] person' as being quieter.

Micke · 11/11/2018 18:39

slam the door in the face of anyone wishing to endure their sacrifice

Jesus - I mean, yes, women are at the bottom of the gender heap, but we are people you know! You make it sound like transwomen are saints who've given up the dizzy heights of male privilege to slum it down here with us untouchable women and we should worship the ground they walk on for that.

I don't think that's a healthy way to think of anyone - whether it's a realistic description or not (and it really isn't a realistic description)

VickyEadie · 11/11/2018 18:42

Women's "brain and soul", though...

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 11/11/2018 18:46

I've just shared this article by Raquel Rosario Sanchez on another thread but it fits bloody well here too.

"“The non-binary declaration is a slap in the face to all women, who, if they haven’t come out as ‘genderqueer,’ presumably possess an internal essence perfectly in-line with the misogynistic parody of womanhood created by patriarchy.” There’s a twisted, neoliberal cruelty in arguing that the primary problem with gender is its impact on the chosen identities of individuals, and not the way it operates systemically, under patriarchy, to normalize and encourage male violence and female subordination."

When confronted with evidence that, historically and globally, women’s oppression is sex-based, gender identity politics simply claims that sex itself is an “invented” social construct."

I've started to hear the kind of faux outraged comments above as the sound of a sheep bleating angrily

That was very dramatic for an angry sheep!!!

Goodness, just.....well, goodness Shock

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 11/11/2018 18:52

I've started to hear the kind of faux outraged comments above as the sound of a sheep bleating angrily

That would be the furries. (Rufus - as far as I know I've never hugged a furry) Grin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/11/2018 18:54

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/11/2018 18:55

AngryAttackKittens · 11/11/2018 18:56

It would be like hugging a giant plushy, if the plushy had a raging erection.

Envy (Not envy)
AngryAttackKittens · 11/11/2018 18:57

Part "if" us? Don't want to be the SPAG police, but really?

Ereshkigal · 11/11/2018 19:35

Absolutely.

FloralBunting · 11/11/2018 19:52

Gawd. I turn my back for a second and the crazy visitors here just go bananas.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 11/11/2018 19:55

Grin
FloralBunting · 11/11/2018 19:57

I don't hear a sheep bleating. I tend to hear this noise...

Trinity1976 · 11/11/2018 19:59

I came across a tweet a few days ago which I quote below:

"I support cis women, and I think they should count as real women, even though they don’t experience the particular forms of misogyny perpetrated against women who are coercively assigned male at birth"

It's all about the 'oppression points'.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 11/11/2018 20:01

For me, it's Charlie Brown's teacher - waaah waaah waaah.

In no particular order. 6 opinions offered as fact. 1 of those opinions being researched by scientists.

This is the wrong way round for a start. Women can have any personality, appearance, tastes etc. There is no such thing as a ladybrain or a ladysoul. The only thing all women have in common is our biology. That's what makes us adult human females.

Psychology today published in 2014 an article showing the difference between male and female, structure and chemistry, along with differences in how the different brains process the data.
So it is a proven scientific fact there are male and female brains. And as it is defined that the soul resides in our conscious mind, it would stand to reason that there is a difference in male and female souls.
It has also been scientifically proven there are distinct similarities between the function of the brain conducive with the "chosen" gender.

This also answers the question of "what makes them female" Brain structure, chemistry and function.

I don't recall saying I speak for any activist group or any other blogger.
I will say I am unaware of an request by stone wall to address any same sex issue in the Equality act. Without knowing what they or you are referring to it's difficult to comment.
In respect of Monroe, it depends on how you read her comments. In some respects she is right. Being a woman is more than the sum of the reproductive process and organs. Again, as proven in the brain study. If women reduce the arguement to reproduction they are reducing their role in the world, to baby making only.
I don't understand the issue with the green party statement.
Would you rather just exclude swathes of the population from inclusive policy.
Ultimately, these statements only really apply, if there are I sufficient women participating in politics, the green party, whatever. The stance you are taking is not that the best, most qualified person is chosen!! Ultimately, surely the person whomever they are, is selected on their ability, manifesto, honesty, loyalty. Your take appears that if an all male selection presented, despite no women coming forward, it's sexist. But surely a trans woman is better than an all male selection? I don't really understand why you are so anti Trans, because once a trans woman has declared and started transition, any male privilege is removed, they are treated below women, mostly below contempt. They aren't in the "old boys network" anymore.
Sorry my missive is so poorly written, wasn't sure having an opinion was dependant on good grammar, but it's heart felt. And as someone who has been permanently on the fringe of society, shunned and excluded, yes, you all do appear like witches around a cauldron pasing judgements and causing discord. Actually, acting like bullies, denying access to anyone not in your gang.
Again, shame on you !!

AngryAttackKittens · 11/11/2018 20:54

I'm an atheist, mate. Don't believe in souls.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/11/2018 20:57

So are you ashamed then supa

And why didnt you say us and not you?

Thats not passing a judgement...its asking a question which you dont seem to want to answer

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 11/11/2018 21:01

Wrt the brain thing, it's a continuum, like height. If someone is 6'5 you can make a good guess that they're a bloke. But if a woman is 6'5 that doesn't make her a bloke, it just means she's an unusually tall woman. Height is related to sex but doesn't determine it, and relevant brain characteristics are exactly the same. There are characteristics more common in male people, but there is no such thing as a male brain any more than there is a male height.

FloralBunting · 11/11/2018 21:02

as it is defined that the soul resides in our conscious mind, it would stand to reason that there is a difference in male and female souls.

Do tell about the ground breaking science that has shown this to be fact. I have a few minutes while the cauldron gets up to temperature for the eye of newt, and sciencefacts are so diverting.

ABitCrapper · 11/11/2018 21:04

There is no female brain. Noone can look at a brain and say whether it is male or female. On a population level however there are some things found more frequently in men, and some in women.

Artificially doping a man with female hormones does not make them female. Just an artificial facsimile.

Likewise, Cosmetic surgery to make a man look female does not turn them female.

There is no gang. We are not a hive mind. This is not an echo chamber and we all disagree on lots.

Your other arguments are just ridiculous. Women are women due to biology. Our oppression is based on biology. That does not mean we are just baby machines fgs. I can't be bothered tbh

sackrifice · 11/11/2018 21:07

Would you rather just exclude swathes of the population from inclusive policy.

Being female isn't a policy. It isn't an inclusive or exclusive policy. It is the nature of being born female.

Actually, acting like bullies, denying access to anyone not in your gang

It is not a 'gang', it is half the population by nature of them being born female.
