See what they are re-tweeting:

twitter.com/LGBTLD

(Not sure how to link to the exact tweet but it's the Cole Zachary one).

There really is no one to vote for, is there?

The problem with this science is, as the papers admit,in its infancy. Studies relay on people being really honest about who they are and what their feelings are.

Some brain studies catagorise people into cis men/women and trans men/women. Then they compare brains to find similarities in certain areas in the brains.

There are massive flaws in so many of thesr studies that, even I, no science since 1st year uni, can see. Do these studies take a random sample of people including lesbian, gay and bi as well as straight. Do they compare ciss brains first to see the similaries and differences between ciss brains with different sexuality? Is there a full background done to find out external influences, health issues, influences of male and females on their life. Are they followed from birth to puberty to adulthood with hormone levels measured and recorded? No, of course not. At the moment they have, at most discovered links, similarities in a few areas. This does not provide enough evidence for a cinclusion to be drawn. However it is a sensational newspaper headline which may get you grants and funding.

Women, we are not a label, we do not confirm or come in a one size fits all mould. We are shaped by our experiences, by society and by our biological bodies and hormones. The link between us all is biological at root and developes through similar experiences during our lifetime. It is not an innate feelig shared by 1/2 the population that people can pick up and wear. We do not have a code. You cannot op in or out it's not how it works.

A person suffering from true gender dyaomrphia is rare, I cannot imagine their experiences. But,most trans do not suffer from this.many claim to feel like a woman, ut what does that feel like? If a large, multi cultural, section of ciss woman can not identify a definition of woman beyond a shared biology, then how can men, not suffering from gender dysmorphia say that they can and that they know better?

Few, if any people on these boards come accross as hating people or ranting. Instead they are discussing the erosion of who they are, taking place in front of their eyes. We women are watching our own place in society being given away to others, and we are tld they know better, they understand more? We are waking up to a world that are denying half the population are real.

SanFranBear I always found it interesting that they were referred to as Hindley and Brady when their crimes were discussed, very rarely was his name said first.

You are quite right about the rarity aspect which is why continually bringing their names up as a 'gotcha' is so telling.

crapper

We bought the little book of calm

Dh used to read it to ds1 to piss him off

It still works if we say something like 'when feeling stressed run yourself a nice lavender bath...' in a (what we feel is) soothing voice
