This is the petition.

There is a proposal (currently supported by all the main political parties) to make legally changing sex a matter of ‘self-identification’. At present it requires living as the opposite gender for 2 years and some form of medical consultation (although no treatment/surgery is required).

We are concerned that (in no particular order)

This will lead to women not being able to challenge men in their spaces.
People with male bodies on hospital wards with women.
Women’s sport being taken over by people with male bodies.
Rapists being housed in women’s prisons.
Data on crime, gender pay, health becoming less meaningful.

I know there are other threads on this but I wanted to create one with a clear title for when it appears in Active Threads.
