QueenLaBeefah · 07/03/2018 22:28

Can students claim benefits? 🤔
Lily needs to stop sponging of his parents, put the begging bowl away and get a job.

Lazylouse · 07/03/2018 22:33

And not being able to get benefits as they have no passport.

That's got to be nonsense, passports are expensive, loads of people on benefits won't have one.

mummybear701 · 07/03/2018 22:37

I think people are very unkind to LM but she really should stay out the media spotlight until she is more capable of holding a debate with any conviction. The table analogy is utter bollocks.

Waddlelikeapenguin · 07/03/2018 22:39

Finally child free & have watched - it was worth the wait Grin
LM sounds so posh!

LadyMcLadyCrisps · 07/03/2018 22:39

Mummy, she cannot hold this debate with conviction, because logic rips it apart at the seams.

SmurfOrTerf · 07/03/2018 22:40

my 8 year old GD can debate better than that

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 07/03/2018 22:43

So very unkind to a teenager who does Saville and rape jokes, badgers organisers about women only races before he bites the bullet to bite them all in the arse, force his way into girls' changing rooms then take a women's officer's job?

Then whisper that he is bullied?

How fucking gullible are people to take this seriously?

LifelongVaginaOwner · 07/03/2018 22:43

Lily claims to have a GRC. Lily should have checked the documents you need to apply for a GRC and then picked which lie they were going for

Atthebottomofthesea · 07/03/2018 22:44

On the whole passport thing, presumably someone can only apply for a new passport once they have their GRC, so prior to that they would just have to use any 'natal' id.

I don't have a passport, I have a job, so surely you don't have to have a passport to get a job (and I get benefits too) Even my DBS I could have done without photo id.

LadyMcLadyCrisps · 07/03/2018 22:46

Out of interest mummy why is the table analogy “utter bollocks”? Genuinely interested as I have asked this of others upthread.

sharik · 07/03/2018 22:46

Oh, I’m still working my way round posting as opposed to reading, so can’t find quoting and reply, but here goes.
Telling men who get angry about women’s rights to go fuck themselves.
It’s been my lifetime’s work, believe me, I was doung it before I met the women and the literature to confirm why I felt that way.
But my brother, best mate of forty odd years, to realise that when it really matters, women don’t? Did not expect that. Thought he was better.
Still told him to feck off, but it cuts.

SmurfOrTerf · 07/03/2018 22:49

Lifelong - I think I am now psychic. I haven't opened your link

but I bet £100 that passport is on that list Grin

mummybear701 · 07/03/2018 22:52

Lady quite simply she is comparing an inanimate object with a human, albeit I'd love to see her attempt to even look like a table Wink Maybe she was being deliberately obtuse but it didn't sit well for me.

What da ye say to that?

SmurfOrTerf · 07/03/2018 22:52

And the fragrant Lily thinks Muslim women need to get educated.

Atthebottomofthesea · 07/03/2018 22:54

I have to apologise, it seems you can apply for a passport prior to a GRC.

Every day is a school day as they say.

LizzieSiddal · 07/03/2018 22:54

Initially I did feel sorry for LM. I first saw them on Channel 4 news and thought thue looked ill, scared and in need of mental heath services.

Since reading their twitter feed I no longer feel at all sorry for LM. They’re a nasty, mysoginistic troll.

Speedy85 · 07/03/2018 22:56

On the whole passport thing, presumably someone can only apply for a new passport once they have their GRC, so prior to that they would just have to use any 'natal' id.

You would think so but no. For passports, all you need is a letter from your doctor saying that you are likely to stay in your new gender permanently (and a couple of other docs of you’re changing the name on the passport at the same time). It’s a much simpler process than getting a GRC.

Trumpdump · 07/03/2018 22:58

LM just wants money, let's be honest here.

LizzieSiddal · 07/03/2018 23:00

I agree Trump. Their PayPal link is on her Twitter profile Hmm

SmurfOrTerf · 07/03/2018 23:02

Isn't Lily's papal account in her deadname, so if you contribute that's literal violence innit ?

ALittleBitOfButter · 07/03/2018 23:02

I wish an Australian interviewer would approach Hannah Mouncey like that, you know, trounce him with logic.

SmurfOrTerf · 07/03/2018 23:03

Papal FFS I've now sanctified her Shock

Paypal obvs Grin

Speedy85 · 07/03/2018 23:05

Actually, I think that guidance is just very poorly worded to the point that it’s misleading. There’s no requirement in the Act to provide a passport. I think what they mean to say is if you have a passport you should provide it, but there’s no requirement to obtain a passport if you don’t have one.

The guidance also says you ‘must supply’ your driver’s licence, but there’s no requirement to learn to drive prior to getting a GRC!

LadyMcLadyCrisps · 07/03/2018 23:07

“Lady quite simply she is comparing an inanimate object with a human, albeit I'd love to see her attempt to even look like a table wink Maybe she was being deliberately obtuse but it didn't sit well for me.

Well, you will see that I have asked this question upthread, as I am trying to find an answer which doesn’t correlate with the simplistic objectification of femininity which is no different to comparing womanhood to that of an inanimate object, or table in this case. If womanhood is just a costume, or a feeling then why can I not identify as a table?

I dont know how “ye says about that” yet, as I am still evaluating all of the opinions here...
