I know this is more party politics but FFS. SMH.

JJ says

Yesterday I had my suspension meeting with @uklabour. They asked me why I criticised Action For Trans Health (ATH) and called them an hate group. In a tweet where I'd screenshot the ATH posts about terfs needing a punch and 10,000 police officers needing to be murdered... 🤔

So... I'm being called in by the Labour party for criticism of a group THAT WANTS TO MURDER TEN THOUSAND MEN AND WOMEN POLICE OFFICERS. Working class people, serving the community. But I'm in the wrong? 😳

If this was the EDL or another far right group, they would be, rightly, condemned for calling for the Death of Thousands of Police Officers. But somehow having the word 'Trans' in the group's name makes it OK?

... Anyway... my point IS that I have made complaints via email about, idk, maybe 15 Labour members for being personally abusive towards me? Have not even had one acknowledgement from [email protected] yet.

What else was there... dicks wasn't mentioned at all... oh yes, I was asked about a joke tweet I sent to James Kirkup of the Spectator, saying he deserved more abuse than he got. It was intended to make him laugh. Now James Kirkup didn't complain about the tweet...

and Labour never contacted James Kirkup of The Spectator to ASK him if he was offended by the tweet. However someone Else was very offended On His Behalf (looking at you Secret Squirrels) and sent it in.

How did I know James Kirkup of The Spectator magazine never complained to @UKLabour? Well I asked him, didn't I. And James GOD LOVE HIM wrote me this. Which I read out in full to the investigating officers of The Party:

I'm appalled.

I just don't really know what to say beyond that because this feels like the action of a totalitarian state.

'JJ you were observed looking strangely at Dear Leader's left elbow and your tongue must be cut out' kind out territory.

Labour, Gilead is thatta way -->

Geronimoleapinglizards · 01/03/2018 09:37

*kind of

BigEthel · 01/03/2018 09:38

I really don't understand why the Labour Party is so committed to the trans agenda. It's not a vote winner for starters.

Because they put winning elections behind being ideology. The number of Labour people (joined the party since 2015) saying they'd rather not be in power if it means "selling out".

QueenLaBeefah · 01/03/2018 09:43

But the ideology is clearly not in the best interests of 51% of the population. It must be the age old misogyny that is driving this.

LittleLebowski · 01/03/2018 10:06

Well Jeremy Corbyn has appeared to backtrack on his personal ideology on Brexit so it could be possible for them to go against or at least shelve self-ID if it's causing enough of a commotion. No point just being in opposition; they need to win a general election and that will mean I think putting to one side anything that seems a bit loony left. As has been said, most people are WTF? when they grasp the idea of what the potential of that policy means - hence the noise in more right-wing press. I can't imagine many people being alright with a bloke in the ladies going "it's alright love, I'm a woman".

Gacapa · 01/03/2018 10:08

The only plausible explanation I can come up with is that they're just not interested in winning a GE. Real power scares them. I dunno. The plot is lost and it's a shitfest of aggressive screeching into an echo chamber of hyper-masculinity and blind identity politics.

The Labour Party is fucked, that's for sure.

nauticant · 01/03/2018 10:18

they're just not interested in winning a GE

I also think this is lower down on their list of priorities. Their main priority appears to be to crush the opposition but because they are looking inwardly rather than outwardly, the opposition is people in their own ranks so it's Blairites, centrists, troublesome women, etc. Once those have been crushed they'll find others.

HerFemaleness · 01/03/2018 10:21

Check out this charmer. Apparently all men call women cunts don't you know.

PerfPower · 01/03/2018 10:22

Wow, just had a look at her twitter. It's unbelievable, the guy calling her 'a deplorable cunt' wtf?! Safe in the knowledge that he won't suffer any consequences while she's been suspended for not saying that delusions are truth? For calling out the deranged ATH? I think she comes across as furious and so she should be. More women should be furious about this, it gets things done. Good luck Jennifer and well done for not quietly accepting this bullshit.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 01/03/2018 11:00

I smell focus group mentality behind Labour's stance - appealing to the young pissed off voters. I think they think by staying PC and pro-Trans that will appeal to the voters they need to win the GE - it's the same strategy companies used plus Blair & Clinton to gain power.

But it's been discredited. What people want are values plus leadership congruent with those values, not more BOT driven politics.

I wish JJ well - I do fear for her physical and psychological safety in the face of all the mobbing and harassment, with no backup from Labour. I hope she knows when to walk away for her own sake.

Wobbleslikeaweeble · 01/03/2018 13:43

I’d have thought young people, students, LGBT would have voted Labour anyway - what gains would they really make from that demographic? I’d have thought they wouldn’t want to piss off their loyal older demographic though - me - and they have.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 02/03/2018 07:36

She is a brave woman. Labour have lost my vote, they have lost my membership. Women like Jenn work so hard behind the scenes but they don't need us anymore. Good luck with that Labour.

QuentinSummers · 02/03/2018 07:46

Yes. I think Labour (indeed all parties) would get a huge shock if women stopped putting their energy into the party.

DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 02/03/2018 07:46

true Wobble and the kids who don't vote are unlikely to be pro self id anyway. i know a lot of young mums who would think it was bollocks, why would they want cross dressers in the top shop changing rooms? Bollocks to that. Live and let live extends to women and girls.

AngryAttackKittens · 02/03/2018 08:03

The fact that she's been so loyal to the party and received this in return should be a wake-up call for all Labour women. The party doesn't deserve their loyalty.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 02/03/2018 10:05

How much you want to bet these keyboard warriors, TRAs, MRAs, handmaidens and virtue cookie signallers CBA to even register to vote let alone actually vote in an election. Real life and reality seem to be beyond their grasp.

LangCleg · 02/03/2018 10:16

All entirely and depressingly predictable. The misogynists in the party, never censured for using terms like TERF, are now emboldened and see no obligation to even pretend any more.

Some little git called Jen "head cunt" yesterday.

Look, I'm working class. I swear like a working class person. A lot. I call people cunts all the time. Most of the time, it's a term of endearment not an insult. I also call people wankstains, cockwombles, fuckfaces and any other creative ways to swear I can think of.

But we all know the difference. We all know the difference. And these little shits know exactly what they are doing.

I keep saying it but I'm really going to have to resign membership, aren't I?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/03/2018 10:29

Anyone else thinking of Boxer in Animal Farm?

doctorcuntybollocks · 02/03/2018 10:39

Yes. They're sending their most loyal (loyal to the point of idolatry) footsoldiers off to the knackers yard.

JenniferJames · 02/03/2018 12:48

It's the movement I'm loyal to, not any individual or any organisation. The movement. I fight the class war.. and women are a political class. And working class women and black women suffer BECAUSE OF THEIR CLASS. Women in the third world countries we exploit and bomb tf out of suffer BECAUSE OF THEIR CLASS.

No organisation can be trusted, power needs to keep its reputation whether that reputation is deserved or not. The choice to call that organisation out and stay and fight... or walk away is mine and I have made it.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 02/03/2018 13:04

This

JenniferJames · 02/03/2018 13:08

Oh... and take a look at the secret squirrels leaders, people. These are the people women need to worry about.

We need to talk about Bromentum.

'Knell. Anyone seen Jennifer James' tweets about her [labour party] suspension meeting?
DamnDeDoubtanceIsSpartacus · 02/03/2018 13:50

and on't they just love beating on women, telling women what they are, telling women what to say, what to think..

QueenLaBeefah · 02/03/2018 13:58

Yup, same old shit different format.

nauticant · 02/03/2018 14:02

What is it with brocialist misogynists and beards?
