Worried it’s a distraction...

sexnotgender · 27/02/2018 06:54

Not bashing Lily.

Just beginning to wonder if they are a massive distraction from something bigger?

They are SO outrageous, not a chance anyone else would be allowed to act in that manner.

They’re taking our attention, are they a deliberate smokescreen?

Im.wondering this to. I just don't know how else to explain why he even has a job after everything he says and does.

It's either s distraction or a trans free pass. Or both.

And why the hell is the law being broken and nothing done when you get a parking ticket in seconds.. ..

SweetGrapes · 27/02/2018 08:10

Parking tickets make money.

Where else should we be looking? I thought this was in the shadow of Brexit.... is there something else going on as well? My head will spin.

Gileswithachainsaw · 27/02/2018 08:51

Whatever it is it's huge.

You don't getaway with saying Muslims need to educate themselves on sharing changing rooms with men on social media unless they planning something huge.

sexnotgender · 27/02/2018 09:01

You don't getaway with saying Muslims need to educate themselves on sharing changing rooms with men on social media unless they planning something huge.

This with bells on!!

Glad I’m not the only one who thinks there might be something else afoot.

Wanders away to adjust tinfoil hat...

Wasn't LM making big ominous warnings about "action" against everyone who had said anything against them ever/looked at them funny/breathed the wrong way etc.

sexnotgender · 27/02/2018 09:37

shotsfired yes they were but again I’m concerned we’re looking in the wrong direction.
LM is a big noisy car crash to distract us while something else is going on.

OP posts:
averylongtimeago · 27/02/2018 09:40

Glad not the only one thinking of investing in a tin foil hat.
Something or someone is pushing this agenda, but what? And what are they trying to achieve or hide?

Gileswithachainsaw · 27/02/2018 09:46

Whatever it is hurry up cos this is scaring me more than the self ID at the mo. Because no one is even listening they are all denying anything is happening even when presented with photo evidence.

It's some kind of collective mind control or something

ShotsFired · 27/02/2018 09:47

@sexnotgender You don't getaway with saying Muslims need to educate themselves on sharing changing rooms with men on social media unless they planning something huge.

I'm sure I've seen a Muslim council or some kind of "helpline" (for want of a better word) that exists to advise people on interpretations of scholarly texts, religious writings and whatnot. I wonder how they would interpret this? Because I guess they probably have friends in high places too.

Someone should probably ask them...

OrderOnline · 27/02/2018 09:54

Wasn't the French revolution started by women, then taken over by men?

Datun · 27/02/2018 09:59

Whilst I'm not adverse to a bit of tinfoilness, surely the last person you would choose to cleverly manipulate public opinion is Madigan.

They are absolutely crap at it.

I can totally understand people's head exploding with incredulity that Madigan is still in their post, or appears to be being listened to.

And of course we are all scrabbling around for reasons to explain it.

But Madigan is talking to a mere handful of the public, at the moment.

Nobody in their right mind would be able to use them for anything on any kind of scale.

The ridiculous tweets are too numerous.

The denials are too childish.

And too numerous. Every time Madigan says something mad and gets caught, they say it's not me mum, it's him. Him being anyone else but Madigan.

It's all out there. The lot.

No one beyond the twittersphere will take them seriously.

Apart from anything else, people who say and do ridiculous things, also have to have a measure of charisma to be able to get away with it.

And Madigan is no Svengali.

sexnotgender · 27/02/2018 10:02

All very true and well put as always Datun.

Maybe I’m thinking too much. Just very wary right now.

ShotsFired · 27/02/2018 10:08

Yeah but (much of) that very same approach works for one Donald J Trump very well, so I wouldn't write it off just yet.

(obviously the key missing factor is the reach, but LM does seem to have a small but well connected listener base)

Datun · 27/02/2018 10:11

Much as I despise Trumps attitude and politics. I'm willing to believe they are personally fairly affable.

You don't get to be a huge property magnate without the ability to launch some kind of charm offensive. However two faced.

Madigan doesn't have those people skills.

ShotsFired · 27/02/2018 10:13

@datun Grin LM doesn't even have the skills to be two faced Grin

Gileswithachainsaw · 27/02/2018 10:16

Well of its not that it does beg the question why the hell is so much being allowed to continue whilst denial and defence carries on like its Roswell 2.0

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 10:30

"You don't getaway with saying Muslims need to educate themselves on sharing changing rooms with men on social media unless they planning something huge."

I just don't think Labour gives a shit. I'm sorry, but I think it's that simple.

And I'm with Datun re Madigan. He's too fucking stupid for clever conspiracies, look at the arse he made of that Facebook list

LangCleg · 27/02/2018 10:30

I think Liam should go on Question Time!

TellsEveryoneRealFacts · 27/02/2018 10:35

I think he is being ignored because it forms a smokescreen. I don't believe for one millisecond he is part of the plan.

Datun · 27/02/2018 10:42

People who hold public office are always getting things dragged up from their past even if they are fairly solid. Like when they were smoking a spliff in the sixth form, singing in a band using sexist lyrics or contemptuously dumping a girlfriend by text, which she keeps and sells to The Sun.

There is no earthly way Madigan's shenanigans won't haunt them forever.

No way someone who claims biology is irrelevant, boys can get pregnant, women are not real women, and men's rights trump those of everyone else, will ever be considered the poster person to spearhead a proper campaign.

It would be political suicide.

People may fondly imagine that the entire country can be brainwashed.

But they can't.

SmurfOrTerf · 27/02/2018 10:51

AssignedPurrfect I totally agree. Corbyn doesn't give a flying fuck.
He doesn't care about anyone but himself.

And I'm annoyed that so many on here are still going to vote Labour

When Labour are throwing all women Under a bus

obvs not the women that have a penis

RedToothBrush · 27/02/2018 11:01

I would love Madigan to do anything resembling a hustings and is outside the protective bubble of Labour nonsense.

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 11:02

Look at this shit

AssignedPuuurfectAtBirth · 27/02/2018 11:04

Ah. See there is a thread about it.

As you were Blush

BlindAssassin1 · 27/02/2018 11:05

LM doesn't have people skills - definitely, nor the political wit to handle this on a day-to-day level or survive all of this for the long haul.

I think the Labour Party are using LM (and the whole trans issue) as a pawn, a litmus test, to see how all this goes down. It will be easy for them to wash their hands of her and the whole thing should it go tits up, or hide it under the rug come election time. Or, say they were on the right side of history come the dawning of the new age when Labour think they will get back on the throne.

Labour's dear fearless leader might portray himself as the woolly geography teacher who tackles the difficult issues, campaigning for the underdog but I think he (and the other parties come to that) are playing the long game.

They are desperate for the young cool vote, who may or may not get out of bed to get to the ballot box. But they know damn well that women around these threads, and wider, will vote.

We will be politically and socially and culturally be served a shit sandwich: don't vote for the left and you'll get Rees Mogg (Victorian, hypocritical, Tory scum) or have luffely Jeremy, who's party will write you to the margins of existence with policy and procedure, but you'll still get you're abortions. Plus, don't worry ladezz you'll still get to vote.

If I was really going to strap on my tin foil hat and get into it, I'd say this was part of a larger plan to reorganise societal structures, for a planned, managed deconstruction of the economy and politics due to the environmental shit hitting the fan. (But then I read far too much Atwood etc (see my name)) Blush
