I wonder if biological woman will ever be allowed to speak on anything remotely connected to woman's issues? I get the feeling we are all to be banished to a locked cupboard somewhere so we shut up.

I just wanted to challenge that "diagrams are not counted as spoilt"
I believe they are.
As are other messages.

The campaign linked to has a specific aim, however, it isn't the only way to spoil a ballot. #if a significant number of ballot spoilers wrote the same message eg #SexNotGender then this would be remarked upon.

Ballots are either deemed spoilt or valid. There is no third category or discard pile.

There are various reasons to classify a ballot as spoilt, as listed on the website, but they are all spoilt ballots and all contribute to the total voter turnout figure. I think the site is complaining that there isn't a classification called 'protest'. And there still isn't, so feel free to spoil however you like.

All questionable ballots are picked out by counters on the night and separated out. They are then viewed by all the candidates at the count. They will see people's artwork and words in person! The candidates agree whether or not they are a) spoilt or b) in fact a valid vote for one particular candidate.

If the same message crops up multiple times, I'm sure the candidates would take note.

If a non-UKIP party hasn't seen sense by the next time I go to vote I plan to put XX or XY in each of the boxes, depending on the sex of the candidate, & writing "Biology is not bigotry" at the bottom. I may also put "This is a protest vote" on the top, just to be clear! Might also add "sex, not gender" or something similar outlining why I can't bring myself to vote for any of them.

Last year lots of the newspapers included TIMS in their IWT features. I expect it's on every editor's list this year.
