Just found this on Twitter.

If anyone is up for lobbying ELLE magazine to feature actual women for their IWD issue as opposed to LM, please tweet @KatieOMalley__ and @ELLEUK with your suggestions!

Haven't you learned yet? Men make much better women than actual women. Hence Caitlyn Jenner getting a Woman of the Year prize despite having killed a woman. Plus all those record breakers and female firsts on the other threads. Men are the new women...there will be much more of this

Bejazzled · 26/02/2018 21:05

Good for Elle! The trans hate on here is staggering and I honestly don't understand it

The thread is about International Women's Day being possibly being hijacked by non women

PissedOffWoman · 26/02/2018 21:05

At this rate I will be spoiling my vote with this anatomically correct female reproductive system.

International Women's Day is about WOMEN
TERFousBreakdown · 26/02/2018 21:09

@PissedOffWoman, I'm willing to veer off my path and follow yours - you'll most definitely have to provide a tutorial for this one, though, I'm afraid!

The thing is, spoiling your vote just means you have become voiceless - surely what some people want for women. Honestly, I am at the stage that I will hold my nose and vote for any party that is against self I.d.
God help me, even UKIP - they won't win anything but if they were to et a surge in votes at least it would send a message.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 26/02/2018 21:13

Why a penis? Aren't we trying to object to their ubiquity?

Go vulva, they're ours, they're penis exclusionary and they're easier to draw

TERFousBreakdown · 26/02/2018 21:15

God help me, even UKIP - they won't win anything

Ah, but they do! See also: Trump, Donald et al.

I'm really, really, not willing to risk this!

Try a bit harder with the feigned disbelief totalnerd

Bejazzled · 26/02/2018 21:20

A membership of a couple of million women - we could mount a takeover 😁

Mouthandtrousersall · 26/02/2018 21:22

Pippa Bunce, its about time she got another award.

Hahahahahaha

athingthateveryoneneeds · 26/02/2018 21:27

We need a proper women's party. Single issue. Keep women's spaces penis-free. The Penis Exclusionary Party?

terfsRus · 26/02/2018 21:29

totalnerd

Elle just picked a boring narcisist infantile bloke to be celebrated as a woman. If that's the game, I could think of much better options.

TERFousBreakdown · 26/02/2018 21:30

The Penis Exclusionary Party?

I'm in favour! It could hold public meetings called PEP-talks! Grin

Mhairi Black 23 year old Female MP.

Asked about her decision to "come out", she replied "I've never been in"

Black describes herself as a "traditional socialist" citing Tony Benn as her enduring political hero.[10] Her other political inspirations include Keir Hardie and Margo MacDonald.

She said, "Food banks are not part of the Welfare State. They are a symbol that the welfare state is failing."

At the time of her election on 8 May 2015, she had not yet completed her undergraduate degree, with a final exam on Scottish politics still to be undertaken.

God help me, even UKIP - they won't win anything but if they were to et a surge in votes at least it would send a message.

It would send the message that you support Brexit and are anti immigrant. Self I'D would be seen as a minor issue and wouldn't get the air time.

Not for me

If they feel they have to include an interview with a transwomans to be on trend/relevant/whatever excuse reason, is there someone notable who could be suggested? While I absolutely disagree with their inclusion, I'd rather an interview with someone with a positive message than LM who shouldn't be given any more publicity

cista · 26/02/2018 21:50

To be fair, this may be a good thing. I think LM is turning people against self-id, so the bigger the platform, the further this will spread.

TERFousBreakdown · 26/02/2018 21:51

Kristina Harrison and Miranda Yardley have both been suggested via Twitter - but only once so far.

But then neither of them is young and trendy ...

ellaoldie · 26/02/2018 21:58

Can you imagine GQ or Esquire discussing which transmen they might interview for International Men's Day?

Waddlelikeapenguin · 26/02/2018 22:13

It could hold public meetings called PEP-talks!
Grin I'm in!

Waddlelikeapenguin · 26/02/2018 22:14
