The last few days, there have been several claims of misandry on Feminist Chat. Please post examples here using a link and screen shot.

It's weird seeing an old thread pop back up and you have no idea why, look for your comment and then cringe

My point is simply that "misandry" is not simply equivalent to misogyny. The crucial difference is that it's not backed up by an entire system of oppression.

Yep. It's like the 'can you be racist to a whit person' question. But some gender ideologists do seem very intent on pretending that the system of oppression against women doesn't exist.

Yeah but what form does your hatred of men take? You’re presumably not forcing men into unwanted sex, or living with one and swanning round like a queen while he does all the work, or murdering men, or beating men, or even masturbating to images of men being hurt and degraded by creatures much larger and stronger than they are.

if you’re like every other woman who “hates men”, you simply avoid men. That’s harmless, carry on. If only misogynists would simply avoid women, then misogyny would be as harmless as “misandry” instead of being the world’s greatest scourge.

That's the crucial difference, really.

Men are scared women will laugh at them; women are scared men will kill them.

Exactly. And yet any woman who expresses any perceived anti-men sentiment must grovel and scrape and publically announce they do not hate men. Despite the fact that when women hate men it has absolutely no impact on any man. Men on the other hand freely hate, resent and oppress women.
