Sorry that it's a DM article, but someone posted this on Twitter. His reasons are interesting, and pretty much what many people have said on these threads already.

Why on earth would you name your daughter Electra? You wouldn't call your son Oedipus, would you? Or would you... Confused

PancakeInMaBelly · 16/02/2018 14:34

"This, like other fashions, will die out and for most kids no damage will have been done."

Unless mermaids get to their mother

Do you want a dead son or a happy daughter. Etc.

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 14:37

Mermaids are a bloody menace. That's a sentence I never thought I'd have to type.... Confused

I wonder if this chap would have applied for a self-identified Gender Recognition Certificate during those 7 months had it been available to him?

DaisyDrip · 16/02/2018 14:41

Mermaids are a bloody menace. That's a sentence I never thought I'd have to type

It's also something I didn't think I would fully agree with.

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 14:42

I'm sure he would've. Just found this online....

So - this is the future Sad

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 14:44

Even more disturbing was the comment, that he'd never felt more empowered in his life Angry

OP posts:
noeffingidea · 16/02/2018 14:46

Yep, because there's nothing more empowering than beating a woman. And I guess, for a woman, there's nothing more empowering than being a prostitute. Oops, sorry, I mean a sex worker.

Somersetter · 16/02/2018 14:47

Isn't it the woman who had never felt so overpowered?

busyboysmum · 16/02/2018 14:47

www.smh.com.au/national/i-will-never-be-able-to-have-sex-again-ever-20090530-br41.html devastating article here about having made the wrong decision.

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 14:49

The poor woman needed quite extensive surgery. But that doesn't matter, because at least a misogynistic piece of crap got to feel empowered. Angry Angry

OP posts:
MrsArthurShappey · 16/02/2018 14:49

Yes I read that as the woman had never felt so overpowered.

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 14:51

There are so many of those stories, and more people need to be aware of them. It's bloody awful the sort of blatant lies and untruths that desperate people are fed.

I've found the full quote on Wikipedia"

After her loss, Brents took to social media to convey her thoughts on the experience of fighting Fox: "I've fought a lot of women and have never felt the strength that I felt in a fight as I did that night. I can't answer whether it's because she was born a man or not because I'm not a doctor. I can only say, I've never felt so overpowered ever in my life and I am an abnormally strong female in my own right," she stated. "Her grip was different, I could usually move around in the clinch against other females but couldn't move at all in Fox's clinch..."

Worth reading the "Controversy" section:

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallon_Fox

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 15:00

He refuses to own any blame. Another bloody narcissist.

PancakeInMaBelly · 16/02/2018 15:02

That second article busyboysmum what strikes me is the poster kept saying "but I dont feel cis"
Well nobody fuckinv does! Cis people dont exist. Youve been lied to by TRAs that the world are full of "cis people" who fit perfectly with the gender steriotyoes associated with their sex. People who are entirely comfortable with being steriotyped based on their sex. These people dont exist or at least Ive never met one. So you will never feel like one.

TRAs are headfucking queer young people

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 15:03

Surely people can see the ridiculousness of it all?

I had to unfollow a couple on Twitter who did pretty much this.

First they were lesbians, one of whom had kids from her previous straight marriage.
Then one of them became 'Daddy' and they tweeted constantly about how accepting the kids were.
Then he went back to being a woman but with a different name, which the children then apparently loved calling him.

The selfishness is astounding. Those kids are fucked up, I'd stake my life on it.

Maybe, just maybe, if your life isn't like a Disney movie at all times, it's nothing to do with your sex.

PancakeInMaBelly · 16/02/2018 15:15

Its selling something that doesnt exist. If youre not comfortable in your skin youre told that transitioning will fix everything.

I hated my developing body as a teen. Thank fuck nobody sterilised me then!

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 15:23

I was a real tomboy as a youngster Pancake and I'm still not girly - I certainly don't fit the stereotype grandmother role either.

People can fuck off with their grey hair-bun and knitting needle stereotypes.

The real tragedy is, that by the time some of the trans kids realise that they were just going through a stage or are just gay, it'll be too late and they'll never be able to have their own children and grandchildren Sad

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 15:27

This pretty much sums it up really...

Man re-transitions after just 7 months!
OP posts:
PancakeInMaBelly · 16/02/2018 15:27

Not wanting to be a mans/societys ideal of what a woman should be is an unfortunately "normal" / common female experience.

Would be strong women or feminists or lesbians in the making are being obliterated and invalidated by being told that if they really mean it when they say they dont identify with steriotypes, then theyre not women. Theyre men. Or "non binary".

Agerbilatemycardigan · 16/02/2018 15:56

Oh look, a transwoman copper. And what's their biggest gripe? Is is knife crime? Is it domestic violence being on the increase? Nope....

"To top it all off, it presents an issue for me as a Police Officer as I still can’t perform any body searches until I get my birth certificate changed, even though all my passports a other docs are all changed. The UK GR Board are idiots"

OlennasWimple · 16/02/2018 19:44

I don't particularly like Kris Kardashian, but she will always have my sympathy for what she went through with Bruce. I hope she had her own version of the transwidow support thread IRL
