Sorry but how is a 20yr old able to comment on women's real issues? Male? Female? Or trans?

FlaviaAlbia · 12/02/2018 19:37

I thought Lily still lived at home? Bit of a cheek whining about the parents on social media if that's the case.

cordeliaflynne · 12/02/2018 19:38

The thing is, if any one XX or XY, can self id as a woman, what actually are women's issue now?

Nickynackynoodle · 12/02/2018 19:44

Well thats easy then Lily isnt it, cause CisWomen dont exist!
I know zero people who identify as a CisWomen.

So if your role is to benefit this rare imaginary privilidged breed then how hard can that be

But what have you done for WOMEN Lily?

TERFousBreakdown · 12/02/2018 19:48

@Nickynackynoodle, the use of language is extremely telling, though:

We 'cis' women are apparently referred to as 'they' and we 'have no understanding' of what LM has done for us.

It's almost as though LM doesn't really see 'cis' women as belonging to quite the same category as 'her'self.

Interesting, to say the very least! Hmm

Horridemma · 12/02/2018 19:51

Ciswomen? I am sure that all the women in Kent can put their views across about child care, access to public health issues, FGM concerns, violence against women, domestic violence, poverty, access to education and the spotty one will be able to empathise and come up with a solution.

It would be lovely if someone can clearly show how he has supported those issues without any trans twist.

Where's Lilly's Mum? Isn't there a bedroom that needs tidying or some home work to do?

PancakeInMaBelly · 12/02/2018 19:57

I am no Ciswoman. I dont "match" the gender steriotypes associated with my sex. Im good at maths and cant sew. I am the main earner. I never wear heels.

Lily, Ciswomen is offensive to any women who doesnt chose to not only confirm to, but actively promote gender steriotypes, and even THOSE women dont identify as Cis so quit miss gendering them ya?

MyBrilliantDisguise · 12/02/2018 20:03

'Ciswomen' makes me think of bullying, of using expressions that you know will hurt people. I don't have time for anyone who uses that term.

unenthusiasticfuturedancemom · 12/02/2018 20:05

Stop the presses, do you mean to tell me that Lily hasn't been doing the rounds at the local mums and baby groups and setting up days out for lonely female pensioners?

Are you sure? Wink

MrGHardy · 12/02/2018 20:06

How transphobic of Lily! Transwomen are women why hasn’t lily done anything for them???

MyOwnShed · 12/02/2018 20:14

I'm still just a lurking terf on Twitter so pop over and see what lily's up to from time to time, can't say I've seen anything that's wowed me in a good way yet.

Fluffymcflufftown · 12/02/2018 20:22

Is there a probationary period/review on this role? Is there a set of criteria to be met / roles and responsibilities etc that LM ought to be carrying out.
I don't know how these sorts of jobs work to be honest so wondering how monitoring is done.
Also, given as LM is so young and have very little experience of women's lives, are they being mentored and supported? Kinda like Labour maybe don't care enough about women to employ (is it paid?) one for this post but also don't care about their staff to support them.
I'm a member of the Labour party and this is embarrassing.
Where are the grown ups in all this?

DodoPatrol · 12/02/2018 20:33

This is off-topic a bit, but I'm pondering the lovely Madigan again.

Do you think 'my family were really unsupportive' means that although their parents worked, fed and clothed the little blighter, washed socks etc, they won't pay lip service to the name change?

Do you think the little blighter might some day realise that sock washing, feeding, buying clothes etc IS a form of support (and takes quite a bit of time and effort), now that they are apparently cut off and too poor to buy a new hoody?

I'm wondering if total disregard for 'women's work' might afflict the top echelons of the Labour Party more generally.

I played one of those silly Facebook games, choosing to as it "Who Will Break My Heart in 2018?", just for a tea-break bit of fun.

This was the program's response:

Does Lily Madigan ever discuss women's issues
Terfragette · 12/02/2018 20:39

to ASK* it

DodoPatrol · 12/02/2018 20:39

That would be so, so surprising. After all, that kid is a beacon of honesty and transparency in all other areas of life and Twitter.

Terfragette · 12/02/2018 20:41

Juzza, Lily has two mums. His birth mum, and his dad's new wife.

I think his birth mum is the one who insists he's a boy and the new stepmum accepts his insistence that he's a girl.

PancakeInMaBelly · 12/02/2018 20:43

We all know from the Trans widows thread that "support" means having no qiestions or feelings of your own!

Terfragette · 12/02/2018 20:46

And don't forget, Lily is against "cis" women.

He created, owns, runs and admins a secret Facebook group whose top banner shrieks "DOWN WITH CIS".

What the 300+ cis women he was elected to represent would think if they knew this is at present unknown.

TinselAngel · 12/02/2018 20:55

I'm also blocked by LM on Twitter, despite having never interacted with LM.
