I saw on FB last night that a friend of a friend shared the Times article about transgender people working in DV centres to our mutual friend who works for a DV charity.

You can imagine the reaction. Hopefully that is several more coalface people Peaked and on at WA today.

I peak transed several years ago when someone I followed very sympathetically on twitter (him being very talented but needy and all), despite his sharing increasingly misogynistic transactivist articles, started yelling that he'd been misgendered at a hospital appointment and he hated all cis women and their fucking cis privilege, they should all fuck off and die. He blocked me shortly after that, even though I'd been too shocked to respond.

That is, I thought I'd peak transed, but Alps on Alps arise. Danielle Muscato. "Suck my lady dick." -Ian Lian Huntley. Self ID. The Labour Party and Lily. Women's Aid. FFS, Women's Aid.

I've peaked my family. DH has stopped complaining about me going on about it.
I've peaked a fair few friends. They were all oblivious initially, though.

I saw a comment about a something becoming trans exclusionary by going on about biological issues. Even in the most warm, fuzzy welcoming environment, you don't stop 99.9% of people talking about something that affects them to spare the feelings of .1%. In fact, perhaps they should consider that they do not belong in the group if they have so few shared interests!

They're doing our work for us. Whether it's possible to stop the juggernaut before our rights are given away is another matter, but the public are massively on our side.

My DH definitely peaked when I did over the Rose Mcgowan issue, I think my best friend peaked yesterday and I am still working on my DD, she is a product of her current generation though, where critical thinking and questioning the proscribed dogma is frowned upon by her peers and Social Media, she does seem to be taking some of my points on board without so much eye rolling and dismissal though, so there appears to some improvement.

Oh, and India Willoughby can fuck the fuck off. I have a seperate Mountain reserved just for her, I fell over the other side of it after that interview yesterday!

On a seperate note, did anybody see that stupid segment on the channel 4 news yesterday? It was about the ‘future’ of feminism and had a young woman of early 20’s (my assumption) who was excited because feminism was now fashionable and she could wear it on a t-shirt and then went on to claim that 4th wave feminism was the only way forward and that the views of the older ‘trans-exclusionary feminists (yes, she went there) were dated and not needed. She also said that modern day suffragettes would be more intersectional.

Interestingly, I also watched an awe inspiring suffragette segment on the one show (I know, I was shocked too) about an Indian maharajahs daughter, who became a suffragette, I wonder if t-shirt lady knew about her?

Following that link, I note somebody saying ‘Not arguing with your main point but that reddit user is not trans, just an obvious troll. The comment is 100% fake.’

I don’t doubt that there are unhinged real people out there (such as the person charged with the Hyde Park assault) but a lot of it has to be misogynist/homophobic troll noise.
