Sorry - I can't remember who the MNer was Blush. She wrote to him about the proposed changes to the GRA, and he said that as long as the government listened to trans people and trans allies (I'm paraphrasing badly) it would all be lovely.

Patrick seems to have got the hump that this was published, and written this response

As a (now ex) green party Scotland member I am seriously pissed off. I have cancelled my membership renewals, and written to the party to explain why.

How long until the Green party has male, and TIM co-conveners, as opposed to male and female.

Raaaaaaagh Angry

Yep, ftw. If and when it comes the only thing I can think of doing is something to highlight the utter absurdity of it. MAybe my partner could then ID as a woman and we’ll get married. Then I’ll id as a woman and get married or civilly partnered as lesbian couple. Ooh. What if I decide I’m non binary? The Scottish govt has included that in their ill designed consultation. Will we be allowed to id as whatever we feel more than once in a lifetime? If not why not? Could change every 10 mins and get the screaming rage with people misgendering you all the time.

I keep coming back to Beatrix Campbell saying at the Manchester meeting "debating doesn't mean you die. You won't stop existing".

How fragile must your argument/reality be if you cannot even discuss it?
