Here is something I know to be true: those campaigning against trans rights will fail. Your money will be raised and spent and wasted. Your legal challenges will not succeed. Your relentless attempts to do injustice will fail. You are on the wrong side of history. Your children will grow up knowing better than you. You cannot stop progress. Your efforts are in vain.

And every time I'm proven right - every time a court judgment goes against you and every time a law protecting trans men and women is passed and every time equality is further enshrined in the laws of this country I am going to return to this thread for the pure and petty purpose of telling you I TOLD YOU SO.

I think the Jack Munroe tweet is because someone donated to the GoFundMe under the name "Liam Madigan". Jack Munroe tweeted to him that she can send him details of a lawyer if he wants (which is all very odd - I'm not sure what offence has been committed here?)

I think she’s saying it falls under defamation or similar. Trying to blacken someone’s name by falsely associating them with “a hate group or action” etc.

It was unwise for folk to use the names of well known transfolk but I think she’s being drama llama about it. She’s all over the place.

I donated in lovely Lyra's name and I've just had this email from gofundme. The TAs have been busy -

They are not allowing anon donations- they are saying you have to submit photo ID. They have completely changed their normal rules to submit to the bullying transactivists. Just shocking.

Like most people, I have no wish to deny rights to trans people. I wish all people to have the right to education, healthcare, political representation and so forth.
But for a male person to be called a woman is not a right. It is a demand, and an arrogant one at that. People of other religions do not have the right to force me to adhere to their beliefs. By the same token, why do trans people think they should have the right to force me to believe in their ideology?

If anonymous donations are no longer accepted, then the organisers of the campaign should look into transferring it to another platform.

Someone on another thread tried to donate as anon and they said she had to provide photo ID.

Oh and Jack's not annoyed - she's just delighted to have wedged herself into a debate that had nothing to do with her.
