Here is something I know to be true: those campaigning against trans rights will fail. Your money will be raised and spent and wasted. Your legal challenges will not succeed. Your relentless attempts to do injustice will fail. You are on the wrong side of history. Your children will grow up knowing better than you. You cannot stop progress. Your efforts are in vain.

And every time I'm proven right - every time a court judgment goes against you and every time a law protecting trans men and women is passed and every time equality is further enshrined in the laws of this country I am going to return to this thread for the pure and petty purpose of telling you I TOLD YOU SO.

That tweet that said 'I accept trans women as women except for relationship purposes' is just...... Well, it just sums up everything really as well.

Good night ladies - I'm up in the middle of the night for a flight so I'm going to bed. I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed this, or how much it pleases me that 200 comments have been spent arguing with me rather than spreading poisonous ideology elsewhere. As promised earlier I'll be revisiting this thread periodically when my predictions are proven true - every time you lose a legal challenge or see your crusade set back another step. Let's all reconvene when that happens and you can tell me about the next bright idea you have to stall the moral arc of the universe on its long bend towards justice 😘

I don't know about the other women here but the reason I know I'm on the right side of history is that I used to agree with Lyra. I spent a lot of my time in LGBT spaces, often with trans and GNC people and used everyone's pronouns and would have been a lovely ally (I still am in many ways). And the trans and GNC people I knew, and still know, were great. Allies to women as well.

But I will not see women excluded and endangered by self-ID. I will not have women silenced on periods, abortions, breastfeeding, FGM and other messy female biological issues because it's transphobic to talk about them. I won't see young lesbians bullied into sex they don't want with penises they didn't ask for. I don't think women's prisons should have penises in them. Or shelters, refuges or AWSs. And women should be able to gather and organize without fear of male violence.

The ‘real world’ is full of women who don’t realise, yet, the consequences of their general tendency to put others first. I was one until last week, when I realised that the party of which I am a member required me to ‘self-define’. Researching this further has opened my eyes to the erosion of women’s rights and I am not happy about that, I can tell you. I now consider it my duty to spread the word. So carry on...give me more examples of what is to become of women. You’re doing a great job.
