AIBU GoFundMe addiction

I've recently become addicted to a Gofundme campaign. Every time I press refresh the total raised has jumped up and I don't seem to be able to stop.

I'm trying to stay within Mumsnet rules here, so obviously I can't link or promote it.

Does anyone else have this enjoyable problem?

Every reply to Ralf little was brilliant. Unfortunately even if he totally changed his mind after actually looking into this more, I'm certain he would not publicly say this. Not because he wants to save face, but because he would see it's not considered 'right on'.

You can request GoFundMe to make your donation anonymous after donating, but I don't know how, sorry. Should be on site questions and answers.

In other words, he's asking for views from males. He doesn't see TIMs as women. If he did, he'd afford them as little authority and respect as he does actual women.

@Donkey I made my decision to donate after reading your brilliant posts on the lyra thread. If I could figure out how to have put "for Donkey from MN" on my donation I would have.

One of the best things about this debate is listening to the truly illuminating and intelligent commentary by women.

I bear no ill-will to the trans community and will address anyone as they wish, welcome them into my space if safe to do so, campaign for their safety and respect. What I will not do is redefine my biology - a biology that has largely defined my life and that of those women who carried my mitochondrial dna to me through the centuries.

He posts a brocialist (I like that word!) mansplain on the subject with evidently zero knowledge about it.
Then gets his arse absolutely handed on to him on a plate.
Then his head starts to explode as he desperately tries to remain 'right on' and 'kind' to everyone, trying to 'understand differing viewpoints'. When he has obviously had no interest in listening to women up until now.

As an aside, I was remembering that back in the day, Ralf dated a sexy celeb TV presenter. I'd forgotten her name so I googled it, it was Lisa Rogers.

Anyway spent a very enjoyable evening down a rabbit hole of nineties fashions and celeb gossip. I'd forgotten most of it. Chokers, Japanese slogans on tight t-shirts, football shirts for men. Ah, my era.
