Jeremy Vine (well, person covering for JV) phone in right now is on whether dads should be able to take their 4yo DD into the ladies' loos
I think it's inspired by a MN thread (or a NM thread), as it started with a slightly bizarre segment of actors reading out posts agreeing and disagreeing with the OP (who thought that her DH was out of order to do this)
Really interesting discussion between two men (the presenter and someone else) who were clear that they had no place going into the ladies' loos ("the sign on the door shows that it's not the place for me")
The phone in / texts / emails are predictable enough (lots of people saying that of course a 4yo girl shouldn't be exposed to the gents' loos, so of course her dad needs to go into the ladies' with them. And "I wouldn't have a problem with it, everyone uses cubicles anyway")
And a man saying that when he took his DD into the ladies' loo and got accosted by a woman who told him that he shouldn't be in there, because he didn't want to expose his DDs to "a whole row of willies" at the urinals.
So clearly, the answer is that we should get rid of urinals in the gents in favour of cubicles only, and then dads accompany their DC as necessary, whilst continuing to use the toilets appropriate for their sex and. Funnily enough, this wasn't suggested: just that women should put up with random male interlopers in the ladies
