In what ways can we support women officers in politics? A member of my family watched Anne Ruzylo's youtube vid on my FB account . To my surprise they went from, all feminist are men haters, to, that Anne seems to know what she is talking about.

We can follow them on social media, and we can be active in party politics. While we are still permitted to.

Anne is an articulate woman who has devoted her life to working for her country. She deserves better.

I've also been checking Anne's Twitter alot although I'm not on Twitter myself

They are all amazing women and I would love to know how to show some supoort

What came clear to me from listening to that youtube this is that The Labour Party is, like so many left wing parties, misogynistic and anti-woman. They love the likes of Lily because she is helping the boys rid the ranks of all those pesky women. The bit about the Branch leader using terms like cis and TERF nailed it for me. I say this as a proud leftie who won't abandon the cause, of course.

It says a lot that the word TERF is used by politicians. If you can happily slate women and feminism while keeping your liberal credentials, what the hell is going on?

They say JK Rowling is a feminist and a multi millionaire, can anyone contact her on twitter and maybe suggest to her she set up a site for women.

Im nobody's idea of a tech adviser, but it's been said here many times that moderation is difficult and duplicate accounts are easy to achieve because IPs change when you switch the router on and off (?) So do that and open a new email account?

I set up a Twitter account with a completely secure email address. It was advised because you don't want anything that can be traced back to you. I've now got my ordinary one and another one I switch between. So it's really easy to do. We need good women supporters on Twitter.

I met Anne at the Cambridge WPUK meeting and she's absolutely lovely in person too
The stuff being said about some of these feminists is unbelievable. That awful fake-scary video that says how dangerous Linda Bellos is....she's a petite grandmother!
Even my DH (staunch Tory who hates left-wing lunacy) thinks the MRA/TRAs are wrong. He even praised Germaine Greer!

I follow Anne on twitter. I think she is so strong and brave. Magdalen Berns, Miranda Yardley etc they are doing an amazing job as are some regular posters here.

What are the requirements for the Jo Cox women in leadership program ? I am wondering if there is anyway of influencing/urging candidates to apply? I know Anne ripped up her card but still...... or Drradfem? ....
There must be a way to help support the women who are will to go public with their views.
I am a bit ashamed of myself but i am too much of a scaredy cat when it comes to TRAs to actually come out directly with my views just post the odd video link now and again.

I am too scared to come out in a public way but will try do what I can until I feel more courageous.

I would like to write to Anne and Linda - I really hope they read these threads.

I find it very hard to believe that is why you were banned. I've seen far worse on Twitter in my many years of using it, and those posters have not been 'permanently suspended'. And in case you are suggesting this is some kind of male bias, yes, including to men and about men.

And FWIW, I've moderated blogs and forums with much stricter commenting policies than Twitter, and nothing you have posted would have got you banned there either.

I will tell you what happens
You say something to someone who does not like what you have to say & they report you to twitter & you then get an automated notification from twitter telling you to delete the tweet the other person found offensive, like this one I wrote and was told to delete

"If men agree men abuse women anything said that focuses on that should not be out of bounds or hushed up because men's feelings are hurt"

And after I did delete it, twitter then told me I had been very naughty and locked me out of my account for 12 hours but the 12 hours turned into 24 hrs because after 12 hrs I clicked on their link to get back into my account and twitter restarted the 12 hr countdown all over again.

And what happens after this is, if anyone else reports you to twitter with in 14 days you get another automated response from twitter informing you, you have been suspended.

Now suspended usually means you will get your account back in a short time.
But twitter's suspension means you are permanently excluded from their site and every single tweet you ever wrote is completely removed and you are totally disconnected from all your followers and all the friends you made on there .

Then Titter send you get an automated email saying you can appeal & so thousands of people waste their time appealing because when you appeal, all you get back a few days later, is another automated response saying, you broke our rules so F/OFF

They don't tell you what rules you broke though and even though you know you didn't it makes absolutely no difference to them.

The MRA'S accounts are protected and so are paedo's accounts, so are porn accounts and Trans.

I can guarantee you if you complain about any of those accounts to twitter it will be your account that gets closed down not theirs.

Twitter is run by a bunch of misogynists and anyone who thinks it isn't are deluding themselves and this is the same for FB, Youtube and across the board.
