Lily posts 'Why wasn’t I a choice?!!!' to a vote for 'LGBT Hero of the Year'.

The nominees include Arsham Parsi, founder of a charity that provides life-saving support to LGBT refugees fleeing Iran; the Russian LGBT network, which protected gay men at risk of being killed in Chechnya; and Hela, a transgender woman who spent four months in prison in Tunisia.

I can't imagine being so deluded about my own importance to even think that question, never mind directly ask it. She hasn't even done anything.

This entire endeavour is about her and her own ego. I've been browsing her Twitter and I saw her interview on sky news, and I have yet to see her discuss a single women's issue she cares about.

I see the similarities with Trump too. She's in a role she doesn't care to perform and proving she could win the role was her sole real motivation.

As people are saying on Twitter, the real culprit here is the Labour Party. The second the public reaction swings from "poor little thing, let's all be nice" to "thank God my kids aren't like this", the Labour backers will fade away. And Lily will be alone and exposed.

It's infuriating I know from a radfem perspective. But it's also rather sad.

She also constantly refers to herself as fabulous in tweets. What I find really ironic is how this open egomania belies the notion that transwomen can ever really understand the experiences of actual women. A 19 year old girl who flattered herself publicly in this way would be slaughtered. And certainly not taken seriously as a political representative.

Like I said on the other thread Lily is irrefutably, unquestionably a 'woman'.Except when she possibly might have been up for a LGBT hero award or she wants to think about all the lovely attention that she would get as the first MP of her kind. Then she is 'trans'.

And yes, SO unprofessional. It's embarrassing for the Labour Party, even more embarrassing that the likes of Angela Rayner and Jeremy Corbyn are fawning over her.

Women do, increasingly, do this though.

And there has been a massive shift towards a kind of drag-ification, notably in women’s fashion and cosmetics (dear god, the eyelashes). Persuading women to adopt a female impersonator aesthetic is fucking fabulous for blokes wanting to blend in ‘as women’.

I think the makeup thing is tricky actually. On the one hand I feel like it's good that there does seem to be a shift to men wearing makeup - Manny MUA, Jeffree Star, and Luke Goss are all prominent YouTubers who wear make up to varying degrees - none of them claim to be trans, or 'women' they are just gay men who are into makeup. This is a good thing isn't it, going against the gender stereotype that only women wear makeup?

Luke Goss is very openly against the 'drag make up' and lots of other influential YouTubers are now saying no to all the concealer, baking, contour and brows and I think that will just be a fashion thing that people will look back on and cringe at in a few years time.

God I hope so.

He's already come out and basicallu said no-one should be in the party unless they tow the Tw are women line.

I'm not sure how much more denial of biology and the blatant blocking of anyone who asks a question people are willing to take.

There has to be an end doesn't there?

I can't even believe it's gone this far and people haven't woken up yet.

But there is a part of me which acknowledges some misogyny in that statement. It’s hard to fight for equality if we are shaming each other.

How is it bullying to discuss a clearly bizarre statement? Lily clearly lacks even a modicum of self awareness, as such tweets show.

It's ok to think negative things about people. That's not bullying. No one here is seeking Lily out to name call, threaten, dox etc. Just discussing an astounding example of self absorbtion.
