And as usual spectacularly misinterpreting what we are saying. I have never seen anyone on here say what they are claiming. I can only guess it's deliberate

Choc I suspect hell will freeze over before we ever get given a definition. Still going to keep asking though.

MissiAmphetamine · 06/03/2017 09:50

I'm only really on reddit for the debate sub and gender critical subs, and they have never, ever, come even close to a non-circular definition.

Because they don't have one.

"Woman" according to them, is whatever a man says it is!

Scissorcisters · 06/03/2017 09:51

@MissiAmphetamine I am so sorry you have had to go through that. I'm getting really fucking angry about this. I had no idea of the abuse women were getting until recently, just the standard "Trans are the most beautiful delicate vunerable people on earth". And I was buying it. Truthfully I have seen no hate from so called Terfs in all that I have read just facts. People need to see the actual hate crimes TRAs are committing whilst using innocent children to push there agenda. Thank you for sharing and again so sorry you had to deal with that shit.

Scissorcisters · 06/03/2017 09:51

Their agenda duh!

MissiAmphetamine · 06/03/2017 10:01

Thanks, scissorcisters Flowers
I'm not too bothered by it, thankfully, as I have a pretty thick skin. But - like you - it makes me furious that the trans activists can be so misogynistic, and act like hateful MRAs...and still be supported while women and our rights are shoved under the bus Angry
Because our recognition of biology and gender socialisation is evil bigotry, apparently Hmm

BigDeskBob · 06/03/2017 10:18

I tipped my toe into the debate sub for a while, but found it difficult to argue logic with 14 year old boys. I lurk occasionally, though. I'm enjoying them trying to define 'trans'. A lot of fragile egos to keep happy.

You do good work there, miss.

Xenophile · 06/03/2017 10:22

We know they're watching. Every so often they send someone over to tell the silly women off for having opinions and vaginas and stuff.

Punternet does too, which is why you always get a "happy hooker" and a "gentleman punter" on prostitution threads.

Must be nice to have enough time on your hands that that kind of thing is viable. But then again, when you have male privilege...

MissiAmphetamine · 06/03/2017 10:25

Thanks, BigDesk Blush
And you hit the nail on the head with your description of them, haha. They're really rather fascinating in a way though, albeit infuriating. So totally convinced they're women, while acting so undeniably like entitled men. And so wilfully ignorant of what being a woman actually involves, and how much impact biology has on our lives.

Scissorcisters · 06/03/2017 10:33

It will be their ultimate undoing, it's what initially woke me up. I can recognise male bullying when I see it.

No doubt as this issue is becoming more visible now they will cut back on the hate crime which will be good.

Are there figures that prove they are the most vulnerable group on the planet, or is it sex work causing that spike? Female sex workers are at 18 times more risk than other women too as I understand. Are black female sex workers at even more risk, as black trans women are? Is sex work being taken into consideration to get a valid picture of risk?

How vunerable they are, seems like their only valid and extremely powerful argument in trumping womens rights, that and transing children to keep them alive. Women naturally want to protect vunerable people and rightly so.

HemlockIsSpartacus · 06/03/2017 11:10

Scissor Probably not. Though I wouldn't worry about asking them for stats to back up their claims, I got put on the BlockBot last time I asked for actual statistics.

MrsWooster · 06/03/2017 11:26

What bowlinghedgehog said, both times.
notcaryl I don't "not respect" transwomen; everybody am what they am. What I can't and won't tolerate is transactivists not respecting women and our reality and experience. It's not about peering under toilet doors, it's about what everyone else above has explained and reexplained: women's singular experience based on our biology within this society. Transwomen have their singular experience AS WELL, not instead. This is not Top Trumps.

Poppyred85 · 06/03/2017 12:48

Missi I'm sorry you had such vile things said to you. Their vitriol for someone who has been through your experiences is breathtaking. I can't imagine any woman using another's abusive experience to abuse them further. Their lack of compassion and empathy, their choice of language and turn of phrase shows their misogyny in all its hateful, twisted form. Their complete inability to see that it's their own behaviour that shows how male they really are regardless of how they dress or whether they have transitioned is ironic. Their behaviour doesn't disgust me because they are transwomen. Their behaviour as human beings does.

VestalVirgin · 06/03/2017 13:08

I would guess not, as the groups of (actually female) liberal feminists who have drunk the Trans KoolAid are also pro "sex work". Pretty sure the transwacktivists are, too.
I don't think it is allowed to say that men who solicit the services of prostituted women or transwomen tend to be more violent than the average male.
(As with "transphobia" , radical feminists will be accused of being "whorephobic" and thereby causing prositited women to be murdered by males. Via witchcraft, presumably.)

Pawpainting · 06/03/2017 15:34

Hi Missi I recognise you from GC Smile I'm so sorry you have received such hate. You are right, they are nothing more than entitled (and delusional) males. For all their handwringing about how GCers and "TERFS" wish them dead, I have never, ever seen anyone on those subreddits use death threats or threats of violence or vile personal abuse like they do. Flowers

OP posts:
Pawpainting · 06/03/2017 15:56

And that's another thing I've noticed. If anyone comes onto MN or GC and shares their traumatic experiences, even trans women, the overwhelming response from women is always "I'm sorry this happened to you". You know, supportive. Thats female socialisation

MissiAmphetamine · 06/03/2017 20:14

Hi Pawpainting! It's nice to bump into other GC sub users elsewhere Smile
And thanks, all Wine
There's another subreddit, r/terfisaslur that collates transactivist online harassment and nastiness towards any woman who questions the current narrative. It's interesting to look through, and as you say, notice the stereotypical male socialisation. It makes it very clear that their "identities" are meaningless.

helpimitchy · 06/03/2017 22:20

Wow, they're so vicious and misogynistic aren't they? Truly inadequate and threatened by the mere existence of women.

Poor things. They're so pointless.

BiscuitMillionaire · 06/03/2017 22:33

Transwomen are always innocent victims, aren't they? Have you seen this www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/06/gender-sex-offender-bbc-crimewatch-appeal-attacker-could-living/ ? It's incredible that even a man who is on the run after committing 2 rapes is still given the pronoun 'she' throughout the article. Lest he be offended, I suppose. And this isn't the Guardian!

Pawpainting · 06/03/2017 23:32

Ive just had a look at that r/terfisaslur sub. It is disgusting. Especially this one (warning: the vilest misogyny imaginable)

"shut the fuck up about the nasty bleeding gashes between your hairy legs or I'll give you TERFS other bleeding gashes to worry about"

Written by a trans woman. I wish more people were aware of this kind of abuse directed at women on a regular basis. It's indefensible .

Oh and they're talking about us again. Hi guys!

OP posts:
WomanScorned · 06/03/2017 23:36

That wasn't easy to read, Missi.

I just want to echo what PP'so have already said, as I'm too sad and angry to formulate an original response.

And to add that you are v. brave. I'm sorry to say I gave up after just a handful of nasty threats-but they were not in the same league as the vitriol spewed at you.

Flowers for you.

venusinscorpio · 06/03/2017 23:38

Yes we'd really love to share intimate space with you. Who wouldn't?

Btw, we bleed. That's what women apart from a tiny minority with rare chromosomal abnormalities do. You'd best get used to it if you want to hang out with women. You'll find the odd overflowing sanitary bin in our loos, because often it's not seen as a high priority to change it enough. Shock horror!

venusinscorpio · 06/03/2017 23:40

And to add that you are v. brave

Second that. I read all those messages. Those people are vile misogynistic bullying cunts. Not the good kind.
