Things have reached a pretty pass indeed when we are being told by men who say they are women, men who don't even pretend to be women, and silly, impressionable young women with little life experience that we are not proper feminists. Feminism has been well and truly hijacked by men and the gullible wide eyed women who have been brainwashed by the tripe they spout.
It makes me feel like giving up sometimes, as we have to accept now that as feminists we are fighting a war on two fronts. Against the old enemy - the conservative right who never wanted us to have any rights in the first place - and the new enemy, the men who say they are women who have infiltrated our movement and will bring it down for good if we let them.
We just have to keep shouting about the issues that matter and shouting loud enough to drown out the whines of transphobia and bigotry so that noone can hear them any longer. Giving up isn't an option, although it is so tempting at times.
