This may not be the right place or forum for this thread but just in case: I feel music is far too dominated by men. What great songs are there by women? I know most of my favourite songs are by women, I'd love to hear more.

haven't read the full thread so sorry if someone's mentioned them already. in the 80's my sister had the album of the 'Proper Little Madams', it was a great LP and I'm going to ask her if she's still got it! I just found this on youtube:
