So Wangyot knocked out two girls from their place in the finals.

Transwoman apparently arrested for voyeurism (photo taking) in a target changing room. But it's local American press so may not be accurate.

Incidentally, I remember reading about someone who was a member of many different feminist groups, one of which had more male people in it than female. The transwomen behaved much like men and several actual women left the group as a result, feeling like they couldn't fight male entitlement in society if it was allowed to happen within their feminist group. Does anyone know what that was? I might site such an example in various letters I'm writing at the moment.

I've just seen this article on Facebook about British primary schools struggling to cope with the number of kids identifying as trans: www.rt.com/uk/350929-transgender-children-school-pressure.

Maybe at some point there will be a tipping point but at the moment... why are so many people just accepting this?

I've said before, I think it's very intentional that TG roles are usually played by the 'end result' actors.

Is it a programme that was made recently Beyond? I'm curious to know how that will change given some of the higher profile trans actors around at the moment.

I heard an advert on one of the BBC radio stations for a programme examining transgender. Unfortunately, I've not been able to find it in the listings. Is anyone else aware of it?

I'm sorry, posted the above in the middle of the work day and didn't include any context!

I guess this sort of thing really makes me think about the difference between the transgender debate/controversy that most people are aware of and the types of issues that people on these threads are expressing concerns about. When I've worked up the courage to talk about transgender issues to people IRL (which is rarely) they've gone "oh, you mean the bathroom thing", and then I feel like they see me as they're prompted to see the mean, bigoted restaurant owner in the advert above...

I probably would have seen him in that way too (mean, bigotted) until I actually started reading stuff and now I feel very differently. I don't personally care all that much about public toilets but that's partly because I just don't use them all that often. But having read a bit about how victims of abuse feel with regard to the loss of single sex spaces I think people need to be more aware of what's actually happening. The transwoman in the video presents as female but most people just don't realise that any dude with a beard can rock up and it's going to be wrong soon to be able to even question that.
