Sorry I can't link but it's on the BBC site.

Zerena, several people were prosecuted for revealing the victim's name. The outcome was just a fine for them, though.

cadnowyllt · 22/06/2016 09:30

Zerena - if you have any evidence that Chedwyn Evans incited, conspired, aided, abetted or otherwise encouraged others in harassing the complainant, then I'd have thought that the CPS would be most keen to hear of it - they haven't any themselves, chi'n gweld.

The retrial at Cardiff Crown Court has started:

LineyReborn · 04/10/2016 18:09

So what's the new evidence that led to the appeal being granted?

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 04/10/2016 18:44

The trial is supposed to take about two weeks

I am curious as to the new evidence as well

SomeDyke · 04/10/2016 18:45

I think we'll just have to wait until it is presented at the trial. Only day one!

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 04/10/2016 18:47

It can take ages for the jurers to even sit down Smile

FreshwaterSelkie · 04/10/2016 19:25

Oh dear. What a depressing prospect. There's nothing good going to come out of this, is there?

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 04/10/2016 19:37

Nope

LineyReborn · 04/10/2016 19:43

I am genuinely interested in what the new evidence is, given that so very few cases are referred back like this. I just can't see how the consent evidence - which is surely what the fuck this was all about - can change?

cadnowyllt · 04/10/2016 19:53

Liney - think the unthinkable.

Oh, go on then, I'll bite, cadnow.

What unthinkable thing should we be thinking? Do tell. Enlighten us.

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 04/10/2016 19:57

I cant see how it can change either liney

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 04/10/2016 19:57

But it was still his own testimony which got him convicted originally...

cadnowyllt · 04/10/2016 19:58

My post at 19:55?

cadnowyllt · 04/10/2016 19:59

Yes

BarbarianMum · 04/10/2016 19:59

Liney same here. It seemed pretty clear cut to me previously.

morrythou · 04/10/2016 20:02

nice unbiased headline from the beeb there

ToadsJustFellFromTheSky · 04/10/2016 20:02

Tbh I thought that would be the most obvious possibility.

But how do you know this cad?

Toads - I don't know, its pure speculation. But what else could it be, other than evidence that she wasn't too drunk to remember. But not long now - she takes the stand tomorrow.

snakesalive · 04/10/2016 20:16
