This reminds me of the way different medical professionals can see the same problem. Physicians will might offer medicines to alleviate symtoms, physios suggest exercises, psychologists might suggest a talking therapy to help you live with the problem and a surgeon will probably suggest they operate to fix it. I've had a couple of surgeons suggest surgery to me in a rather gung-ho manner.

jipjap · 06/12/2015 22:23

How is the legal ?

jipjap · 06/12/2015 22:25

This not the!

VestalVirgin · 06/12/2015 22:50

I read something on a blog about a trans women with a neo vagina who had to spend an evening a week cleaning out the residual gunk and hair that matted up deep in the crevice. And she cut off her penis for that. Too sad.

Indeed. It is rather revealing of the thought processes that are common in our culture, that they would feel it necessary to create a hole that men can penetrate, and think that this makes them more womanly.

If vaginas were not defined as "fuckholes", I think they would be content with reshaping the penis to something more resembling a vulva, as reproductive organs (of which the vagina is a part) cannot be imitated, anyway.

dontcallmecis · 07/12/2015 02:48

Is it bad that I laughed at Shortcut's comment above? ^^

...I mean, given that the guy has just LOST his fucking nuts?

Did anyone find the music accompaniment creepy?

It's not a vagina, neo or otherwise. It's a penis pocket.

dontcallmecis · 07/12/2015 02:53

There are posts out there in Transland asserting that the tissue actually 'turns into' vaginal tissue, that can self lubricate. Really. Fuck sake.

ShortcutButton · 07/12/2015 06:22

Not picking his, but my fucking nuts comment was in response to the 3 year old child being diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Because they found him in the bath trying to cut his penos off with a pair of scissors

Surely the issue is, what was he doing alone in the bath, long enough to find himself a pair of fucking scissors?

ShortcutButton · 07/12/2015 06:27

Urgh at self lubrication. That would be ball sack sweat, no??

That comment though, was like a penny drop for me. They really believe they become women, don't they

Oh, that makes more sense. Apologies, I didn't pick that up from the video

dontcallmecis · 07/12/2015 10:20

Whoops, Short. Yes, that's horrific and nothing to laugh at.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 07/12/2015 11:05

That's horrifying. They remove part of the bowel? Isn't that very dangerous? And I know I'm particularly squeamish but I'd be totally disgusted by having self lubricating bowel tissue up my vagina :(

VestalVirgin · 07/12/2015 11:10

Actually shortcut sometimes part of the bowel is used to construct the vagina as it is self lubricating.

So they construct another hole that is exactly like the asshole for the sole purpose of putting a penis into it?
It's insane.

So, now, if a child tries to eat poisonous berries (or glass shards, or dirt) we diagnose the toddler as suicidal instead of telling the parents to take more safety precautions?

whatdoIget · 07/12/2015 11:20

I think some parents need practice at saying no to their children. As in, no you can't become a girl/boy. Much kinder not to let them get carried away with believing it's actually a possibility. They can wear what they want, play with whatever they choose, but mutilating and medicating their beautiful and healthy bodies is wrong, just wrong.

ShortcutButton · 07/12/2015 12:38

I'm feeling a bit intrigued by the using of the bowel to make a vagina

I remember reading a text on Islamic Engineering and a quotevstuck in my head;

Just because we can, doesn't mean we should

glentherednosedbattleostrich · 07/12/2015 12:47

FFS, at 3 DD decided she wanted to be a mermaid when she grew up. Does this mean I should have stitched her legs together and made her live in the bath? My nephew would only wear his pink tu tu and took his handbag everywhere for almost a year at this age. He is now a straight 16 year old who goes nuts when we bring out the baby photo's!! Kids experiment (one of the reasons I truly believe gender to be nonsense.

It is terrifying that this can happen to a baby who is just experimenting with who they are and anyone who diagnoses gender dysphoria in someone so young should be arrested for child abuse. Oh, and perhaps keep sharp objects away from 3 year olds.

howtorebuild · 07/12/2015 12:50

It's not just the sharp objects issue. The child would have been left unattended, so slipping and drowning risks there too.

VestalVirgin · 07/12/2015 13:44

"I remember reading a text on Islamic Engineering and a quotevstuck in my head; Just because we can, doesn't mean we should*

That's common sense. What does it have to do with Islam?

@howto: I suppose, what with children now being treated like adults in terms of decision-making, him slipping and drowning would have been considered suicide. Brought about by his gender dysphoria. Confused

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 07/12/2015 13:48

Autocorrect for genetic engineering?

HermioneWeasley · 07/12/2015 14:02

LOLing at Glen's trans-mermaid DD

VestalVirgin · 07/12/2015 14:07

@Hermione: I'm so glad Glen didn't do what is recommended by the trans activists. The poor child wouldn't have enjoyed having her legs stitched together and being confined to the bath.

There's a thread on a trans child in AIBU at the moment ... the trans lobby is strong on mumsnet. Confused

That's the key to a functional vagina

Well, obviously. What did you think a vagina was for? So that the menstrual blood and babies could get out? How ridiculous! Obviously, female anatomy is all about what males want!

howtorebuild · 07/12/2015 16:09

What if they have a large penis partner? The potential for damage on top of potential double incontinence issues. Sad
