Changes in how rape will be investigated- about time!

I just read this and I was really pleased. It's about time rape was investigated and prosecuted differently considering the appalling rape conviction rate we have in this country. Imagine there will be an outcry from all the MRAs, but, I think it's very good news...

I've got to say, too ... is it me, or is this new change likely to make it easier for men to have relationships?

After all, it will make gender relations more equal.

It may make it harder for rapists to have relationships, but ordinary men? I think it will actually be much better for them. The less rape, the more healthy relationships.

LurcioAgain

'Wow - so making rape within marriage illegal has directly led to a decline in marriage'

That was not stated by me at least perhaps you should read more carefully

PuffinsAreFictitious · 12/02/2015 19:57

Yup, the only men likely to be unable to continue to have the same relationships as they had before will be rapists, and, let's be honest here, who gives a shit how they feel about anything?

The whole, pearl clutching about the poor men who will go gay, or whatever it is they are supposed to go when they go off women, is a complete logical dead end.

RufusTheReindeer · 12/02/2015 19:57

Oh my giddy aunt...

How do people this stupid function...

I mean it...I'm really worried...how do they cross roads and wipe their own bums

And why pretend to be a woman...what's wrong with you???

Fairlyfairforall · 12/02/2015 19:59

JeanneDeMontbaston

'fairly, I think you're mistaken - puffins is speaking sense here, and you'd do well to learn from her'

I'd be obliged if you would clarify what you mean I may have missed what was written. Thanks.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 12/02/2015 19:59

Rufus, he's already admitted to being a man, but I get your point Grin

JeanneDeMontbaston · 12/02/2015 19:59

Yep, that's about the size of it, puffins.

PetulaGordino · 12/02/2015 20:00

well exactly puffins

the idea that women are all gagging to have relationships with men who worry that they are going to be accused of rape...

JeanneDeMontbaston · 12/02/2015 20:01

fairly - no worries. What you missed was her post - have a read of it. It was good, I thought, and well explained.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones1984 · 12/02/2015 20:01

Women! Prepare to be raped or the institution of marriage will deteriorate! Economic collapse will ensue!!!

Honestly. What bullshit is this?

Stopping men raping us will not affect the birthrate, or the economy, you ignoramus. Even if it did, it would be for good enough reason.

Women are not there to be raped. Men are quite capable of knowing when a woman consents, and if they're not, they need to learn, quickly. A clue, for eg. If you just met her in a nightclub, she's falling over drunk, separated from her friends, and you have virtually carry her out:- Not a good idea to shag her.

LurcioAgain · 12/02/2015 20:02

Troll asserts X.

Poster laughs at troll asserting X.

Troll says "I never said X".

Like you say, Rufus, how does he find his own bum in order to wipe it?

RufusTheReindeer · 12/02/2015 20:05

puffins

I did mean at the start Grin I'm just too gob smacked to string a coherent sentence together

ThatsNotMyNorman · 12/02/2015 20:10

That was not stated by me at least perhaps you should read more carefully

When I pointed out that making rape in marriage illegal did not result in the predicted torrent of false allegations your response was marriage had declined. So what did you mean by that? Either that the removal of the marriage exemption caused a decrease in marriage or that only a small year on year decline in marriage somehow disguises those constant false rape allegations from bitter women?

RufusTheReindeer · 12/02/2015 20:18

When god gave out brains

A troll thought he said trains

And asked for a small slow one...

See what I've been reduced to!!!

PuffinsAreFictitious · 12/02/2015 20:23

Grin @ Rufus...

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear Wink

Dinosaurs don't exist, Buffy. God says so.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones1984 · 12/02/2015 20:37

It's true, Buffy. Christians against Dinosaurs said so. Best burn those colourings, lest they corrupt your child Shock

You need to bury them in the garden, buffy. For the sake of your child!!!

Will no one think of the dinosaurs children?

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 13/02/2015 00:38

The question is, what steps did you take to ensure the socially-constructed dinosaurs consented to being coloured in?

But did they regret being coloured in this morning? You know how fickle and manipulative those dinosaurs are.
