You could kick some people for me, Lord. I'm facing a situation at work where I have to prove myself AGAIN, which I have the feeling (I admit this could be subjective though) the menz don't have to do because, you know, penis. Also, why is it such a frigging surprise that a woman could be ambitious? I only get confused looks when I say thanks but actually I aspire to more than what you are offering me, which is what people with five years less experience than me get Angry.

Oi! I'll handle any kicking that needs doing around here, thank you very much!

FibonacciSeries · 20/01/2015 18:43

Maybe even wheel the cannon out...point it to the City of London please?

Gosh, you really know how to create that relaxed, confidential atmosphere.

Sorry to disappoint. She was really nice, and I enjoyed talking to her, but I think we were both a bit shy of each other, so it was more friendly than flirty. But, seeing as it's the second date I've been on since I was about 19, and the first one with someone where it might actually go somewhere, I get points for effort.

AnnieLobeseder · 20/01/2015 19:29

Will there be a second date?

YonicScrewdriver · 20/01/2015 19:30
PetulaGordino · 20/01/2015 19:33

That sounds a perfectly enjoyable way to spend an evening

LRDtheFeministDragon · 20/01/2015 19:33

I dunno, annie, possibly. Smile

Thank you for my effort badge. Grin

PetulaGordino · 20/01/2015 19:34

By which I mean, not disappointing at all, though hopefully the aim of the date wasn't to entertain us! Grin

LRDtheFeministDragon · 20/01/2015 19:35

Grin Indeed.

hopefully the aim of the date wasn't to entertain us!

Some of us have to live vicariously, you know.

Please ask. I'm still getting to know people here, and I've no-one I've known long enough I can have those inappropriate chats with, except my lovely housemate.

And, online, she's an artist, and dark hair, not tall, quite slight.

She was - I just don't know that it was all that sparky, or if we were just a bit shy. Not sure what genre.

Sorry - I didn't mean to take over the thread with my shite!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 20/01/2015 21:41

Fuck, I've just apologized again.

FibonacciSeries · 20/01/2015 21:41

We are all about inappropriate chats! Was there a spark? Actually, scrap that, there wasn't any spark at all the first time I met my husband! Hmm. Guess a better question is: was the conversation good?

FibonacciSeries · 20/01/2015 21:42

Ah snap! Well FWIW I think not all great love stories have to start with a spark Grin
