Hooters in Newcastle

I'm quite nervous posting here as you wonderful women seem to be a lot more articulate than I am. So as the title suggests Hooters are trying to open a branch in Newcastle, this disappoints me so much. However I don't feel able to concisely say why apart from I feel it is blatant sexism and belittles women to nothing more than breast and a pretty face. Is there anything that can be done do you reckon? www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/newcastle-could-set-hooters-bar-8178710

Fucking hell - just read the petition linked from the Fawcett site. Birthday cake for a 12 year old child - apparently lifelike naked breasts considered appropriate (with sexual themed treats in the party bags).

Fuck me. Seriously, this sounds like a paedophile's dream. How the fuck is this considered family friendly?

This is a Guardian piece about how women who campaigned against Hooters being licensed in Bristol were targeted when it closed due to legal problems and not enough custom.

Nice huh? Although it neatly illustrates male entitlement to see and do as they like, while slapping down any woman who dares to suggest they stop.

Possibly anecdotal evidence but I only know 2 men who frequently frequent this establishment. Both are in their 40s, live at home with their parents and have questionable personal hygiene.
