The best anti-porn evidence I've seen.

(Please watch with caution, some scenes are upsetting)

sorry if ive misunderstood but i dont get the comment
"the idea that we were all secretly agreeing with Chuffinheck couldn't be allowed to stand"

im not agreeing with chuffinheck. secretly or otherwise.

ThatVikRinA22 · 06/04/2011 22:02

sorry seth, ive clearly misread what you were trying to say...apologies. Blush

chuffinheck · 06/04/2011 22:02

Staggering naivety that will achieve nothing

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 06/04/2011 22:04

Chuffinheck thinks we are all agreeing with her. She said to Dittany: 'I'd suggest, and I reckon others here would agree, that it is you that is the moron.'

she had to be told that no actually, we don't all secretly agree with her and think Dittany is a moron.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 06/04/2011 22:06

Vicar no worries, your 21.53 post was great. I don't think those things but Chuffinheck seems to so it was all worth saying.

chuffinheck · 06/04/2011 22:07

So you all agree that killing all men in the porn industry as dittany suggests will end exploitation.

I'm gobsmacked and embarrassed for you.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 06/04/2011 22:11

give us some evidence that women are doing stuff like Max Hardcore then Chuffinheck.

ThatVikRinA22 · 06/04/2011 22:16

did dittany say kill all men in the porn industry? i cant see where she said that. but certainly, locking a few more up like Hardcore would serve a very useful purpose.

i found a Guardian piece, called the rough trade written by martin amis, max hardcores speciality is (look away now if you dont want to know)

he opens a womans anus with a speculum. urinates into the gaping hole, then inserts a hose and instructs the woman to suck the urine out and drink it.

you tell me what woman would do that to another woman. you find one woman pornographer who does this type of porn.

I keep fantasising about setting up an A team type of thing to deal with these evil fuckers.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 06/04/2011 22:20

Dittany said they should be off the planet. I agree, they should.

(my post was to chuffinheck btw)

i see seth has also asked the same question - show us the women who are making this type of abuse on film.

how can a woman rape an auditionee to check her "professional qualifications" as Hardcore did on that documentary?
seriously - find me some evidence and ill listen to your argument chuffinheck.

ThatVikRinA22 · 06/04/2011 22:21

to my mind - off the planet = being locked away where they cant do anyone any damage. Hardcore is in prison until July this year.

toddlerwrangler · 06/04/2011 22:24

Deepbreath, Ok, I think I agree with what Chuffin is saying, so far as there are selfish and abusive women in the porn industry.

seth , you asked for evidence, ii believe the last link Dittany gave (the one with thhe really distressing start) , wasnt a married couple of porn actors charged for the distribution of obscene material? i cant link as on my phone. To me distributing this filth is equally as abusive as the, aking of it, as it keeps the supply chain going?

PeterAndreForPM · 06/04/2011 22:29

chuff, women do not torture other women physically like this

where on earth do you get the idea that they would do, if we stopped men from doing it? Confused

ThatVikRinA22 · 06/04/2011 22:29

show me a woman who is making this type of porn.

watch the documentary. show me one woman on the set of any of these videos who is not there to act in it.

JessinAvalon · 06/04/2011 22:38

I have just watched the documentary. I think I have seen it before so had vague memories of it.

It's horrible. The men in it are horrible. Max Hardcore is a manipulative psychopath. And as someone who was in a relationship with someone whom I suspect was a psychopath, I had shivers going up my spine during the scene in which he's manipulating her.

The men who watch this stuff are horrible. My ex started watching porn just before I finally left him. I wish I could have sat him down and made him watch this.

I was surprised to find that Felicity was saying compliantly that she enjoyed doing all these awful things and then, later on, she would speak with spirit to Richard, her agent/pimp about how much she hated it all. She was completely disassociating herself when she was "acting".

And it was heartbreaking to hear that at the root of her career "choices" was a desire to attract the attention of her father, albeit in a negative way.

I know you all know all of this but I had to say it again because I've just sat through the programme.

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 06/04/2011 22:39

right. There are women in the industry, that is not in question. But not physically doing what Max Hardcore is doing.
The point is, take the men out of the equation and the women are not going to suddenly start to do all that.
Being involved in distribution is also vile BUT you don't have to be as evilly brutal and cruel to do it, you can turn your face away from the reality.
It is also the case that many of the women in the industry will themselves have been brutalised and some will be influenced by men. It is not that women cannot be evil, but I cannot see how anyone can possibly think there are enough women who are evil enough to sustain a porn industry of the level of appallingness of this one.

Of course there are women working in porn and making money out of it, BUT the fact that there are some women in a few limited roles in the industry does not change the fact of male control of the industry, and male brutality within the industry, and does not mean that it just so happens that it is men doing this stuff at the moment and women would be just the same if the men were gone.

we live in a world in which men have been socialised to behave a certain way. part of that involves a small group of men being very violent and sadistic sexually. women have not been conditioned to behave in the same way; some women can still be sadistic in other contexts but not enough of them or in a way that would create a multimillion dollar rape porn industry.

(someone has probably said all that much more snappily than me by now!)

JessinAvalon · 06/04/2011 23:17

To say these men are worse than animals is true. There is evidence that animals have empathy. The men involved in the porn industry clearly do not.

www.americanscientist.org/bookshelf/pub/an-interview-with-frans-de-waal

"In psychology, there is often emphasis on the higher cognitive levels of empathy, which make us understand the other?s situation and put ourselves into their shoes. This is obviously important, especially for us, but without emotional engagement, we would not speak of empathy. [Financier and convicted fraudster] Bernie Madoff was also very good in putting himself into someone else?s situation, but since he did so in order to better exploit them, we wouldn?t call this empathy. Perspective-taking is a critical part of human empathy but is not sufficient: at the core of empathy is the capacity to be emotionally affected by others.

In many animals, the latter is all you will find, which means that their empathy is largely restricted to the emotions. However, in some large-brained species?apes, dolphins, elephants?we also find more complex forms. They try to figure out what is going on with others, and provide help that is intelligent and geared toward the other?s specific situation."

The scene where she is on MH's lap has been stuck in my head since the first time I saw this documentary. It's good to have been able to see the full picture tonight since even the little bit I saw back then was highly disturbing.

Actually felt ill a few times watching the whole thing, glad to have stuck it out though, never again will I have to put up with a man I'm in a relationship with simpering about how harmless it all is and what humourless prudes women are who object to porn.

tigerchilli · 07/04/2011 00:38

Here's a pertinent example (I feel) of pornographer's who abuse the dysfunctional disposition of many girls/ women in order to create (sorry folks) mainstream porn. You don't get anymore mainstream than Belladonna. (And why is she highly poisonous?)

Google interviews of Bella, but be aware, they are seriously nasty.

tigerchilli · 07/04/2011 00:52

P.S. Please also note the 'mother blaming' but Hey Ho, that's another thread.

chuffinheck · 07/04/2011 06:02

dittany , you call my arguement moronic and keep telling me to fuck off. What the hell is your problem ?

MH is an evil bastard that should rot in hell, but your insistance that "offing all men in the porn industry off the planet" would make much difference is naive and stupid in the extreme.

Women in the porn industry...a small example.

www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28022805/

Its a lucrative business and you seriously believe these women wouldn't fill the vacuum !

Being ill informed is one thing, but being downright offensive and unpleasant is another.
