Has Anyone Read the Black Dagger Brotherhood Books by JR Ward?

I am on book 4 at the moment and just loving them - I really don't want them to end. Has anyone read them and enjoyed them? If so, what did you read next?

This Lara Adrian book is so erotic and Im only on chapter 4.

Its lucky Ive got an e-reader so nobody can see what Im reading, I dont think Ill be able to read it in work its that smutty. Id get the sack!

Kresley Cole good if you like a dominant vampire/werewolf
Larissa Ione's Demonica series - hot - bit like BDB - Shade is superb!
Gena Showalter - Lords of Underworld series -good too
Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunters series - some better than others - Acheron the best.
Mathilde Madden -- Silver Collar trilogy - v. sexy!!!
Jaid Black - Sci Fi Porn

Hi I8toys: I have been looking at the Demonica Series - have you rad the Lara Adrian series?

Sandy, FnD, Yes Im enjoying the Lara Adrian book.

The vampire in question is called Lucan Thorn and he definatly knows how to treat a woman.

Im about a third way through and DH is definatly getting the benefit of this book.

Team: Great - can't wait to start it - you will probably be on book 2 or 3 by the time I finish the BDB books.

Yes read Kiss of Midnight, Kiss of Crimson and Midnight Awakening - liked them but not as much as BDB - nothing compares really but Larissa Ione comes pretty close - would recommend.

I lent my copy of Dark Lover (in a drunken moment)to a friend last night - feel a little bereft now! But did warn that I wanted it back! This was after watching Twilight for the umpteenth time at 3.00 in the morning.

FnD: I'm nowhere near finished - just been too busy - I think LA is taking me a while to get into but now you have said it might be your favourite it has spurned me on . Are you going to start Lara Adrian or are you having a break??

I finnished Kiss of Midnight yesterday and Im now reading Kiss of Crimson.

Im enjoying this series, but I havent had anything to compare it to apart from Twilight which is a completly different ball game, ( with the total lack of proper sex scenes and all that.) It will be interesting to see what you think about them.

Have you started yet FnD? What do you think?

Hi TC - I am about halfway through and like it enough to have got the next 2 today. I think I prefer the black dagger lot - am not sure Lucan is a likeable kind of vampire but it took me a while to get into the first of the brotherhood books.

Sandy - I am assuming by your absence that you are reading LA - are you liking it any more?

I am so tired - it's really hard working full time, having children and trying to maintain a vampire sleaze obsession

FnD- I know what you mean about Lucan, he grows on you in the end, but he's no Edward Cullen.

The next book is Dante's story. Its a bit slower than the first book- Im a third way through with hardly any sex scenes.

Ill carry on though and will probably get the rest of the series. I think I will have to get the Black dagger books in hard copy...I can see an obsession growing.

Oooh MrsN - am so jealous of you discovering the BDB . Sandy - told you book 7 was good! I think Rhev could almost be up there with Wrath for me! I have finished the first book - TeamC you were right- Lucan grows on you. Flicked through the 2nd last night and was most concerned to see you are right about the lack of sex . That is just not acceptable .

FnD: Yes I too wish I was a BDB virgin . Yes, your right I'm loving Rhev but Zsadist will always hold a special place in my hearts. Hmmmm lack of sex - no - not acceptable.
