Love the film ( Who wouldn't love Robert Pattinson) but I've now read Twilight and New Moon and it's all right but I don't understand the hysteria?

Will I get it if I persevere with eclipse?

JM, I have to say that I have no clue about these books/films etc. but having enjoyed this thread enormously I have this to say:

Terrible (muriel) is from Muriel's Wedding, a black humour film where Muriel's sister is always saying "you're terrible, Muriel".

If, as Cicatrice says, Bella is like Fanny Price without the humour and dynamism then she MUST be bloody dreadful (Fanny Price being pretty wet herself, Mansfield Park "heroine")

And finally, if you still have to see this film then can I suggest you go in with a view to silently taking the piss out of it all the way? I have found this works pretty well - I so didn't "get" the first Austin Powers film the first time I saw it - when I watched the second one I realised that the humour was in the piss-taking (slow, me? Never ) and then re-watched the first one and "got" it. Look for the crap bits, enjoy their crapness, laugh to yourself at the pseudo-seriousness of it and you'll be okay, I'm sure.

Oh, I'm in the Pacific Time Zone (Vancouver, Canada) so 4 am for you is 8 pm the previous day for me.

Just want to add I'm half-way though Breaking Dawn and so far it's my favourite. Bella finally grows some balls.

Presumably hard, COLD ones.

I quite liked Breaking Dawn too. There are bits in it when you feel like you are mainlining saccharine, but the end (don't worry - no spoilers) is quite exciting.

New Moon was the worst for me, although I was still quite poorly and I will never forget reading it in a giant hell hole of a soft play nightmare during half term and wishing like mad that Bella would just make a good job of her adrenaline junkie ways and put us all out of our misery.
