oooh! it's £8.99 on amazon, that's less than I thought - anyone found it for cheaper elsewhere?

You're all getting excited and I have no idea who she is. What sort of books does she write and which book do you recommend I read first?

She wrote The Time Traveller's Wife AMAZING! Essentially this was a love story (to me at least ). No idea what the "theme" is of this book, but the reviews are looking good.

TheFoosa · 01/10/2009 17:51

ffs! Oct 2010 ... it's going on my christmas list then.

cheapskatemum · 01/10/2009 22:18

Do you think it will live up to "TTW"?

EccentricaGallumbits · 01/10/2009 22:46

I think it's about a pair of twins left a house next to a cemetary by an aged aunt. and the relationships with the people who live in the house and the graveyard.

or i may have dreamt that.

if audrey hasn't used it i'll do that one.

Caz10 · 01/10/2009 22:48

That sounds intruiging EG...I'd like it for hols next week, but a bloody great paperback would surely tip my Ryanair baggage allowance overboard?!

cheapskatemum god I hope so. I am expecting it to be different though.

I had a peep at the blurb in smiths today and was very tempted to buy it. Def one for the Christmas list.

slug · 02/10/2009 14:11

It's my birthday today and, amongst the traditional pile of birthday books I get from DH, I found the very book.

cremolafoam · 02/10/2009 14:16

Yay- I SO hope it is a good read

Have cracked and bought it. The lady in the bokshop said it was very good - she read a proof copy I wish I worked in a bookshop.

TheFoosa · 03/10/2009 18:25

will have to eat beans on toast all next week

SixtyFootDoll · 03/10/2009 18:26

EccentricaGallumbits · 06/10/2009 17:32

i am very much enjoying it. about half way through.
different from time traveller but still good.

RoseBlossoms · 06/10/2009 18:23

right so i was so maddened and cross with lastest dan brown can i buy this one with confidence that it wont be so shite that i can finish it?

CDMforever · 06/10/2009 20:04

I have purchased this off amazon for my DH to give me for xmas (I know, he's crap) but hope i'll not be tempted to read it before then! RoseBlossoms, even a really really really bad book by Audrey Neiffeneger would be better than a Dan Brown.... Dan Brown = Elizabeth Duke at Argos, Audrey Neiffeneger = Tiffany's.

BetterBitOfButter · 06/10/2009 20:05

It's free from the library. You just don't get to keep it.
