..read Skin Privelege?

I don't want to give anything away to those clicking here who haven't read it yet, but I finished it a few days ago, and am still .

Anyone else know what I'm saying?

Fans of Karin's absolutely must read this book now!

rosmerta · 17/09/2007 14:05

I'm a fan but too tight to buy books new so will have to wait until I can get it second hand...

rosmerta · 17/09/2007 14:13

Damn, I still need to read Faithless, like to read them in order!

KC, what about the library?

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/09/2007 14:15

Yes, I always have to read them in order too rosmerta. Glad it's not just me who's anal about these things .

If you don't manage to get it beforehand Kewcumber, then I could bring my copy to the Christmas meet up if you like.

library! give it a rest - kew has a minute library which isn't open when I'm not working, and can;t be arsed to drag myself over to Richmond on the few days I do have off. Besides I always forget to tkae them back and end up paying more fines than the book would have cost.

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 14:19

ooh ta csws - might take you up on that...

Stargazer · 17/09/2007 14:20

I know exactly what you mean. I was too!!

rosmerta · 17/09/2007 14:21

Ok, my library's pretty good and has a couple of nights its open late. Having said that they don't usually have new books in for ages!

CS, yep it is quite anal isn't it? but I hate reading books when they're referring to stuff that's happened in a previous one!

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/09/2007 14:25

Oh Stargazer - at last - someone who can relate to my . Will be interesting to see what, if anything, happens next.

I haven't got that one yet, have just finished Tryptych, which wasn't one of the Sara Linton ones - thank god, she annoysme a bit, but was really good. Is Skin privelege the newest one then?

tibsy · 17/09/2007 14:43

i need a new book too and like her books. will check the library, but if not, may have to buy it.....let you know what i think

StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2007 15:15

OK now you mention the characters I realise I really do like this series, who am I thinking of? The one who writes books about people digging up old bones? I find them quite hard going.

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/09/2007 15:32

You're thinking of Kathy Reichs SPB. I like them, but also find them hard going sometimes.

Yes Saltire, SP is the newest.

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2007 15:41

yes that's it thanks

Kewcumber · 17/09/2007 15:47

went to a talk by Kathy Reichs some years ago before she was so well known. Very very interesting.

Budababe · 17/09/2007 15:55

Was also at SP! Did you look up the website? (At the back of the book she gives details of a letter in which she explains the WHY). Don't read if you haven't read the book!

StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2007 16:13

alright I'm dying to know now

tibsy · 17/09/2007 16:45

i'm an annoying so and so and always read the end of the book before starting it......its like an itch i've got to scratch for me

kokeshi · 17/09/2007 16:46

I read triptych and was a bit disappointed. I've already read Kisscut and Indelible, would you advise that I read the others in the series before reading Skin Privelege?
